So, yeah, I have a nervous system dysfunction and one symptom is a loss of appetite. I put off eating and when I finally know that I MUST eat I genuinely enjoy TASTE again.

Thanks for sharing this. No I guess I don't have this problem. But I don't eat a whole lot. I just have a bowl of cereal with some fruit on top for breakfast. And I don't eat lunch. Also I rarely snack; & when I do it's typically just a few mixed nuts or perhaps a slice of bread if there's some in the house I made recently. So, as a result, I'm pretty-much always hungry. I've simply taught myself to ignore it.
One interesting thing though is that, for some unknown reason, I tend to experience several different "feelings" (for lack of a better term) that I presume are sort-of dissociative in nature when my wife & I are eating breakfast or dinner... particularly dinner. It's odd & I don't really know what causes it... other than anxiety which I seem to have quite a bit of although I don't really have anything to be anxious about. We typically play some quiet music during dinner & that helps. But sometimes even that doesn't help a lot. __________________ "I may be older but I am not wise / I'm still a child's grown-up disguise / and I never can tell you what you want to know / You will find out as you go." Sometimes, I had a perforated ulcer in February. For al long time, foods all tasted weird. Everything but water did. Finally can manage most foods now, but I have days when I'm genuinely not hungry. I don't know. In college, when I was trying hard at the anorexia, I was still always really, really hungry. Now, it's there, I don't work at it so hard, I have times I'm just not hungry. Not sure if that is from ulcer surgery or bipolar hypomania or something.

Stress makes me lose my appetite. It has all my life. The 2 times I struggled with massive anorexia weight loss I never felt hungary. It took years after I recovered both times to ever feel hungry again.
My life has now settled down into my own environment. Stressful things still effect my appetite but living alone I am better able to control & will find something to eat that does taste good to me that is also healthy. I never eat normal even when at a healthy weight. I do well if I eat one meal a day though it is always a healthy one it seems all my body needs to keep going with all I am involved in & with all the work I do around my farm __________________ Leo's favorite place was in the passenger seat of my truck. Yes if stressed or not doing much on weekend. Do well at eating at least something half way decent as do not want to get sick or dehydrated.

Yes, if I'm working and need fuel. I usually don't have to make myself otherwise unless I want to eat because I'm starving...otherwise I don't make myself.

Yes, unfortunately. Because I know the damage not enough protein will do to my body. I will legit not be hungry for over 24 hours and I'll have to force myself to eat a protein bar. I'm odd, i never really liked the taste of food. If I could swallow a pill every day that would give me the nutrients (and sufficient calories) to function I would do it.

Yes, I have to force myself to eat because of my blood sugar issues. I will start feeling worse & worse, with no food. So I eat something to feel okay.
