I used to be have an eating disordered habits...bulimia when I was 16 but then that didn’t last for long. Mostly it’s just been restricting calories and binge eating but over the last 5-6 years, I’ve completely been good but bc of pandemic I became overweight and have never been overweight in my life. And recently I started using MyFitnessPal and I’m wondering if it’s going into a dangerous territory. I’m just older now and my metabolism is slower and you can only lose weight if you have a calorie deficit.

How do I achieve my goals without heading into ED territory?

Maybe get dietary advice and try to lose weight under professional supervision.
Doing this on your own - especially if you had an ED no matter in what shape or form should make you more cautious... And calorie tracking can become obsessive in the worst case.

Good luck with your weight loss process and stay safe! ♡

I think keeping perspective and moderation is the key— i don’t think calorie tracking is inherently bad, since we’re all so out of touch with how much food we really should have, portion sizes, etc. just don’t become obsessed over it and restrict yourself to the point of malnutrition. Best of luck with everything!
