Hi, everyone! I suffer from bulimia otherwise not specified. I binged 5 times already this week, including today, and I would really like to stop. I think my only option right now would be for me to post daily on here about whether or not I have binged or purged. This will help keep me accountable for my actions, and hopefully, it will help me reduce or stop my bingeing and purging.

This thread is for anyone who wants to be kept accountable for their ED. Please post how you're doing with your ED (whether or not you've binged, purged, how you feel about it, etc). If it's been a while since you've engaged in a negative ED behavior (e.g., you've avoided bingeing for 10 days), post that here, too!

It's my hope that I can motivate myself and others to completely avoid harmful ED- related behaviors. I'll be checking back daily to post about my ED, and I'll be checking on any new posts from others who wish to be kept accountable for their ED. Good luck, everyone!

Hey, just checking back in since it's the next day. I didn't binge or purge. Yay! That's a one day streak. Wishing luck to anyone else who is struggling.

Just checking in- no binge today. That's 2 days in a row now.

I think the longest I ever went without bingeing was 3 weeks, and that was when I was seeing a counselor once a week for help. I don't have access to in- person therapy or counseling right now, so I'm hoping this accountability idea works for me (even if I'm the only one posting in here right now).

I'm also recovering from bulimia, April 2nd will mark 1 year of recovery. To be honest I've been having urges to restrict, and sort of have been lately but I'm trying to fight that

Doing well, psychiatrist is keeping a close watch on my weight though since I'm losing, I think she's just concerned it will head back into the direction of when I was doing bad but I'm not doing those things anymore (restricting, bingeing, purging) just naturally losing weight from eating healthier

Checking in from Thursday and Friday- Unfortunately, I did binge on Thursday, but I did not on Friday. I'm going to look on the brighter side of things here; this means I only binged once this week, which is not as bad as five times last week. Ideally, I don't want to be bingeing at all, but it's difficult to go from constantly bingeing to not doing so. The best thing to do, I think, is to get back on track without restricting and without feeling guilty about it.

Just wanted to check in for Saturday and Sunday- no bingeing! So that's three days in a row. Glad to be getting back on track!

Instead of posting in here every day, I think I may check back every few days or so, when it's convenient for me.

Checking in again for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday: I have not binged or purged since my last binge (Thursday). Looking back, this means I have only binged once in the last 11 days, and it has now been six days in a row that I have not binged. It was challenging, but being binge free is something I really want for myself.

Hi, checking in for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Nothing out of the ordinary on Thursday, but then I overate on Friday (didn't binge). Then today, Saturday, I let myself binge. Maybe what I need is to do is refresh my memory of some useful strategies to help avoid bingeing when I am around triggering situations. I have tried some things in this article and I think it's helpful: 15 Helpful Tips to Overcome Binge Eating. Sometimes I forget to do these things and need reminding, though!

It's been about a week since I last posted, and I wanted to give an update. I binged on Saturday 3/14 but did not binge any other day last week. I think maybe I am more likely to binge on the weekend because I am at home more. I feel sort of bad about it, but in perspective, the amount of times that I binged since I started posting in this forum has decreased a lot. Before I posted anything in here, I had binged five times in one week. Now that I've been posting, I think it's closer to once a week. I will post again next week, checking in for the whole week, and hopefully, I won't binge at all!

It's been a while since I checked in, but I wanted to give a disclaimer about why. I think that while this may be a good way to help keep me accountable for my actions associated with my eating disorder, my posts could be triggering to others who have a past with disordered eating. I think I am going to discontinue posting in this thread and speak to a professional about my diagnosis. Thanks for the support throughout the time I posted in this thread!
