Is there an eating disorder where you don’t eat substantial food or meals you just kinda scavenge and graze all day? I do this. Like tonight I just had a few cookies for dinner. I go days without eating meat even though I’m not a vegetarian. I don’t eat fruits or vegetables either. I just kinda eat snacks throughout the day and I drink a ton of soda.

Not everything is a disorder just because it’s different. It’s called grazing and many many people do it.

Im kinda the same way. I blame my mother. Seriously! I once spent a few days with a gf at her mother's house, and her mother served three meals a day, plates and napkins, at the table! I had never seen such a thing before in my life! This woman was actually named Woman of the Year in her town. I was like, i can see why! Seriously that was for her civic work.
I never saw my mom regularly make herself breakfast until i was like 55 years old. I was living with her, and she didnt make any for me. Maybe i should have offered her money. So i dont know about you, but for me, it is about a) taking care of myself and b) how we learn to take care of ourselves. Yeah, never learned it. |

If it weren't societal norm to eat larger meals at regular times, that is how I would eat. No kidding, I am a snacker. I don't like big meals. I prefer to snack. Or small meals, at the most. For me, I think it's because my blood sugar drops easily if I don't eat more often. So I am more accustomed to eating between meals as it is. And then I am not hungry to eat a full meal when everyone else is. Its just easier for me to always have some kind of little snack on me, and just eat it when I feel like I am hungry.
I also have a history of restriction, bingeing, and purging. So, the snacking type of eating is easier for me to handle in relation to that, as well. The smaller the meal, the easier it is to justify, and the less likely I am to want to purge. __________________ Diagnoses: PTSD with Dissociative Symptoms, Borderline Personality Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain |

My therapist thinks I have an eating disorder. Or at least some disordered thinking when it comes to food. She’s just not sure which one. So I’m just trying to figure it out.
