I really need to get over my paranoia. the reason I decided to stay below 160 instead of at 160 is that is was stressing me out to be that close to my upper limit of 164; some spike would take me over half way there. So I would stay below 160 because then it would be a big deal if I hit the top a few times. Only it is; now I am stressing about not hitting 160 the same way i was stressing about not hitting 164.

I am not too worried about the clothes I bought near and at goal. Belts are required; I can take most of my shorts off without unbuttoning them. They still look fine; only slightly baggy.

I didn’t weigh myself today.

I did good with eating low calories today. I ate an entire dragon fruit. I wasn’t sure on the calories. My doctor says I can eat as many fruits and vegetables as I like. I think that advice is a load of crap though.

I did walk fast and did some serious hills, I managed to do a mile averaging 4.5 mph in the hilliest part. I walked for about 45 minutes while one of my kids was in an appointment and took a towel and a shirt to change into. I probably shouldn't have exercised then. I didn't realize until later that it was code orange for ozone and humidity that made it feel like 100. Anyway, I will probably have something else tonight and end up at abou 1600, which is still a deficit, especially with the walking even though it wasn't a lot.
4.5 mph on hilly terrain? Very impressive. Right now I can get that speed only on level geound. So I have not caught up to you yet, and I will not be able to as long as I ieep injuring my legs! I need to work more into this instead of pushing myself for immediate gratification.

I have made 2,798 steps. I walked for exercise 0.55 miles burning 57 calories. This makes for a target of 2,147 calories. I have consumed 2,187 calories. Along with what I consumed, a loose gold crown almost became part of my dinner.

These injuries only seems to happen when I am pushing myself too hard walking. I end up pushing myself to move my legs as quickly as possible for a mile or more with a few minute wait for a light. Heck, it may be to my benefit if I started to run more. I have been doing this lately, but for short segements of my usual walk. I think at this point it would actually be more efficient to exercise this way. I do not think I would be injuring myself doing this.

For now I need to pull back on my efforts to walk faster and obtain very high heart rates. I have already proved to myself 14.5 minute miles, and a 176 bpm heart rates, are possible for me. When I walk, I can walk at a brisk but more measured cardio pace. IOW Nothing crazy here.

Now I will go between this and my walks around the complex. This is where I will work on running for longer distances. If I become too tired, or end uo with aching legs, it will take me only several minutes to end up back home to lay down on my sofa. I am finding it difficult to acknowledge my age and what this means with regard to what I can and cannot do. I also think my cardio fitness has outstripped the ability of my muscles to keep up.

Well, I won't know my step total for a while unless I track it on the phone. I lost my fitness watch last night playing "wankerball" - that's what the group calls water polo on SUPs. We were out in the lake, so the watch is gone. It was just a $20 Asian clone and sync had stopped working. Good workout last night that was completely unlogged.

I got a surprise this morning. I must have really been bloated Tuesday and probably dehydrate today. I weighed in at 155.2; another new low. Nature called in a big way about an hour after I got out of the shower. Had that happened earlier I would have been under 155.

Paddling again tonight; will probably log some of it.

Yesterday...

Steps unknown; no big walk but a pretty good paddling session.

1529 calories. Dinner is something of an estimate. I was actually at Rodino's and didn't find entries for it, so I used similar items. The Greek chicken wrap was not huge, so I didn't pick one of the super high calorie entries and I only ate half. I picked a side salad with more than just 25 or 30 because it had croutons (wasn't a very big salad though). Kind bar in snacks was sort of an early dinner; right before paddling because I knew we would be going out after paddling and it was after 10 before I actually ate.

Yup. I love fresh pineapple; I can easily eat 12 oz (170 calories). I can eat 3 bananas (~100 calories each) with that. That's close to 500 calories. I ate 155 calories of watermelon this morning and a banana that was 107. And it's only 8:30 am...

@UpDownAround: I ran across an inexpensive watch like the one you had. It has good ratings. I think the price is $35. On the Internet, just look for a report that list the best fitness bands and watches. You will eventually find the review. A look on Amazon found this other one that purchasers rated highly. It is in your price range. IOW cheap. https://www.amazon.com/LETSCOM-Fitne...itness+tracker Here is another one for $20 https://www.amazon.com/Damusy-Blueto...ustomerReviews

I weigh 177 pounds. I do not think all of this is actual weight gain. I will not exercise today. My leg still hurts, but it is slowly getting better. If I was young, I would be already exercising.

I think I will just soldier on without a step tracker and just record all my dedicated walks. I know that I get about 1500 outside of that.

No step tracker. Paddled SUP 7 miles. I didn't edit the calories it gave me - 1174, but I didn't eat all of them.

@Bozdickens - About 1000 calories from fruit today; don't think I should ignore that.

2550 calories. Seems like a lot but I did get a heck of a workout paddling and I had the nice surprise on the scale this morning. But I think I will cut back some tomorrow.

I have made 2,266 steps. I did not exercise. My leg is still hurting, so I may have to take tomorrow off from exercising. I do think by Sat, I should be walking again. I will start out with walking a moderate pace until I am convinced that my leg is healed. Anyways, I have a target of 2090 calories. Once I drink my yogurt smoothie, I will have consumed 2,072.

I weigh 175 pounds. I went to bed early, so I did not have that yogurt smoothie that I counted for yesterdays calories. I am goung to fit that in today. I may use some protien powder, but this makes the smoothie taste “chalky”. I do need to do something about my low protien consumption.

I am almost 500 over goal right now for no good reason. I think I better go for a walk.

I have been there, more than once. This is what I like about exercise, besides to become healthier. When I have a high calorie day, including lets say a slice of Cocos Apple pie, I can manage it by exercising more. This may mean walking several more miles for that days exercise routine.

~15000 steps. 8 mile dedicated walk. I accepted the 887 calories and still went over goal today...

2620 calories. I am really not sure why I was so hungry today.

I will weigh in the morning and decide what adjustments to make.

I have made a whopping 473 steps today. I have been trying to stay off of my leg. From time to time, it still can hurt allot. So no exercise today. This makes for my target to be 2090 calories. I have consumed 2121 calories. This includes a hot chocolate at iHob (formerly iHop).

Here is the interesting part. Before I ate dinner, I could not remember if I had lunch. I have skipped it before without realizing what the time was. So in the future, I will need to make entries as soon as I finish a meal. Actually, I should be planning the day in advance. So I have assumed that I did not have any lunch today. No matter how I try to think of the situation, I cannot figure out if I had something for lunch.

PS Now once again my leg is hurting allot. I am trying to stay away from Tylenol. I think this time I must of really messed myself up. If it is the same by Monday, I will see a doctor.

158.2 this morning. Thinking about it more, I think the 159.6 and the 155.4 were outliers; water weight and dehydration. The math of 3500 calories per pound of fat gained or lost is pretty inflexible. I think my weight is somewhere in the middle of my range of 155-160. I think I was a little over the past couple of days, but not 10,500 over; I only had about half that as my total intake. So there is no way I gained 3 pounds.

I may go paddling late today or early tomorrow and limit the logging. I think accepting full amount the last couple of days was letting myself go over, though last night I walked through a spider web and did 2 weeks worth of cardio.

My weight is back down to 174. My leg still hurts, however, I may slow walk some today. I may walk a quarter of a mile and then see what happens.

7+ miles of paddling in wind and waves. Strava awarded ne 1228 calories and I edited it down to 900.

2563 calories. Lots of cookies and some cake plus fruit, grains and protein. No veggies today; need to work on that. I may go have half a cup of sweetened almond milk before turning in for another 30 calories.

I walked 1,495 steps today. I did not exercise, so my target for today is 2,090. I have consumed 2,067 calories. My leg still hurts allot. Maybe I really screwed it up this time. If it does not get better by Monday, I will see my worthless PCP for a referral.

MFP is making an adjustment to my calories burned by 276. I also saw this happen a couple times recently. This is strange. Fortunately, I now just go by the calories burned from exercise, as it is calculated by my watch. I ignore any adjustments made by MFP on my calories burned.

My weight is 174 by just a couple tenths of a pound. Otherwise I would weigh 173. My legs are hurting, so no exercise for today. Also there will be an unusually low step count by the end of the day.

@Tucson - I walked 4.5 miles this morning and mmw gave me 439, which I edited down to 220. But there was another entry - "Under Armor adjustment" of 80 calories. I deleted that. the odd thing is that sometimes it shows up but not always.

I am going to start swimming at the neighborhood pool. I have no idea how to log that unless I keep a lap count. Even then, I don't know how our pool compares to any standard. I can probably find that out. I may just go with time, but effort can vary so much.
