I had a bag of sliced apples today which was 240 calories, a Weight Watchers TV dinner at 180 calories. Some cheese balls at 375. A lite salad kit at 250 calories, and a piece of baked chicken at 110 calories

My anxiety is still high, and physically I feel normal as I usually do for the most part. If I can fit half a digiorno's pizza in my calorie budget, and continue to maintain/lose then I’m going to continue doing it. Because rabbit food honestly doesn’t taste good to me or fill me up the way other stuff does.

Consumed 1636 calories. Still struggling with a lack of energy.

I was 149 today. I had half a deep dish pizza, a diet Snapple, and a lean cuisine. It came to around 1,150 calories. My anxiety is through the roof and I feel like I have an ulcer. So there’s no way I’m eating anything else today.

Paddled 6.1 miles today including a few sprint paddles. I weighed 154.4 when I got home, but I was dehydrated and a little underfed at that point. I ate a lot - pizza, chicken, pineapple and a few other things. It's hard to say how I made out overall. I will weigh yet again tomorrow; long string of days with only a couple skipped. Weight's been pretty steady in the mid 150s.

I am going to try to get into the gym a lot in the next 11 days before shoulder surgery. After that, am not sure how long it will be before I can do much exercise. Probably won't be too long before I can cycle. I won't get to paddle until late April or early May. Next weekend will be low 40s here unless the forecast changes. I doubt it will or at least not much. Today was likely the last paddle before surgery.

I was still 149. I don’t think weighing myself as early as I did this morning is a good idea though.

I don’t think I’ll ever fit into those True Religion Jeans I bought from the thrift shop for $9. There is just no way they are going to come up over my hips even with another 15 pounds loss. I can wear them with shape wear but they still don’t look great. So I just bought a brand new pair from the store, today. I know there expensive but at Nordstrom Rack they were not too bad.

I feel massive.I am feeling encouraged, got all my diet books out and recipe books to study and see what is best to eat to lose weight and control my diabetes.I don't know how its going to turn out,I don't want to be impatient and want to lose it quickly and undereating to the extreme for a few days and binge eat the next few days,so nice, slow and steady and healthy foods, withdraw from sugar cravings and extract all the sugar from my bloodstream and so replace that with a steady stream of nutritious fuel for my body of healthy foods. That is the theory anyway.

Feeling massive, ugly, heavy, and old and unfit is making me depressed too.I feel so unwell,I don't care about my looks cos it's what is inside that counts but I can potentially be much healthier, have more energy and I could look a whole lot better too which would help my confidence and self esteem.I could do with fitting into smaller size clothes that I have had for ages.

I think that is the best time to weigh yourself. It tends to be more consistent. But if you start doing mornings, you should always do mornings. I sometimes weigh at other times out of curiosity, but for tracking it is mornings only. I wake up, go to the bathroom and weigh with nothing on. I feel that is he closest I will get to my actual body weight. Later in the day it matters when/what I drank or ate, when I go to the bathroom and what I am wearing.

Are we meant to weigh ourselves every day then?Isn't that obsessive, doesn't it fluccuate due to water and fluid retention?

I weighed today at 3:45AM though. I usually weigh at 5:45AM or 7:30-8AM. My schedule was just very strange today.

My weight can change drastically from day to day. So I weigh frequently just to stay on track. I try to weigh everyday unless I’ve had a heavy meal the day before. I do not feel like I am obsessed. It’s just how I keep track of things. I have maintained for 3 years so it is working for me.

If it bothers you too much then don't but it is because of the fluctuations that weighing often can make sense. Say you lose a pound a week but your weight bounces up and down in a 3 pound range. If you weigh often you can note the trend - the weights are bouncing around a lower number. But if you weigh once a week you might catch a low bounce and then a week later it might be on a day with high spike caused by water. You could end up thinking you gained a pound when you actually lost one and get really discouraged.

Doesn't it happen anyway when you weigh everyday that one day you are up the next down the next up?I would find weighing every day tedious,I do prefer once a week or every two weeks. But I understand if some prefer every day so that there are no surprises and I agree it is good for maintenance.

Today I am starting my diet to lose weight and control blood sugars.I had a slice of toast with butter at 4.15am when I got up,at 8am I will have another slice of toast and butter with a runny boiled egg.12pm egg sandwich for lunch and a bowl soup with roll.Evening meal will be cannelloni beans ,two potatoes small ones, spinach, courgette with olive oil and lemon. Before bed a spoonful peanut butter and an apple to stop the liver dumping glucose into my bloodstream overnight.Hopefully keeping my portions small will mean I lose weight. If I get hungry between meals I will snack on yogurt and cherries.

Yes, but the idea is you begin to know it is up or down on a given day. If I weigh a few days in a row (or every other day; just somewhat frequently) and the weights are something like 155, 156, 159, 156, 157 then I know my weight is around 156. A couple of weeks later they might be 153, 154, 157, 154, 155 and I am bouncing around 154 and have lost around 2 pounds. But what if I had weighed only every two weeks and I happened to weigh on the day I was 155 during that first stretch of days and 157 during that second stretch? That could be really discouraging.

Rounding up to 156 today; little bounce. Still surprisingly steady the last several days. Odd timing today; I will swing by the gym late afternoon.

I had a junior frosty from Wendy’s which was 190 calories. Then a cheese baked potato which was 460. I had a bag of lite Cesar salad which was around 250, but my Mom had some so I’m not sure on the exact amount. Dinner was some chili from Wendy’s which according to the drive thru window was 310 calories and the Wendy’s website menu was 250. So it was around 1150-1200 calories total for the day.

I’m not sure why I can’t get below 149 despite being at 147 last week. I’ve been drinking a lot of Nestle Splash water which is a different brand of Propel water. I read somewhere that Propel can stall your weight, so maybe it’s doing that. I didn’t have any today so we’ll see what I weigh in the morning.

Kind of pigged on sweets at a company function today. I have been trending down nicely so it isn't a huge setback; not even a quarter pound once the dust settles.

Oddly enough, the trend continues - 154 this morning. This is an example of why I weigh frequently and try not to skip just because I expect a spike that I don't want to see. I am often wrong. I ran some numbers. I have averaged over 100 calories over goal for the last week. But goal is a deficit of over 200 calories and I have likely been underestimating calories burned out of fear of overestimating them.
