Squirrel food was making me sick physically. So I got a whopper with no mayonnaise and a small order of fries for lunch today. For breakfast I had a Pure Protein shake and for a snack at work I had a bag of Quest chips. For dinner I’m just going to have an egg. Total it will be 1,170. So I still shouldn’t gain.

I just weighed myself for the heck of it. Without clothes I was 153.6. With clothes (heavy jeans, shirt) I was 154.4. None of that makes a whole lot of sense. It just seems like I’m not losing any weight though even though I’ve been cutting calories, carbs, and sugar pretty drastically. I don’t really get it. I’ll weigh myself tomorrow morning to know for sure.

Can someone please, please explain to me how after 5 days of cutting calories, sugars, carbs, one day only eating 870 calories, other days eating around 1150-1200 calories but I know I’m adding them up exactly, that I have gained weight? I went from 150-151. I do not get how this is even possible.

Weight fluctuates quite a bit from day to day even throughout a week, even upwards of 5lbs differences, it takes awhile to see the whole pattern/loss over time

I’m going to go back to weighing every day. Or at least every other day because this once a week or once every 5 days just isn’t working.

I didn’t really do good today but I didn’t do terrible either. I had an iced coffee and then some chicken crispers and fries and a coke from Chili’s. But I only took a few bites of dinner so I’m not really sure. I guess I’ll weigh on Tuesday. But right now I look terrible at 151.

I lost some weight. I'm really glad. I saw an ad for Noom. I thought about doing it. It promised I could lose 60 pounds in 6 months but I don't know. Not sure I want to spend money on a diet plan based on CBT and DBT. I just eat what I buy and I only buy what is healthy for me.

I did weigh myself this morning and I was still 151. So yesterday must not have been that bad. My calories today will equal to 1,165 and around 64 carbs. I’ve only had around 1100 milligrams of sodium. There is absolutely no reason I shouldn’t be losing on that.

I think I may have figured out what is happening though. I get iced teas a lot from Dunkin’ Donuts. I get a blueberry iced tea with extra Splenda. It should technically only be 20 calories. The employees who work there are really stupid and rude. Sometimes I swear my iced teas taste like there’s real sugar in them. So if extra Splenda is actually extra sugar then that 20 calories could be more like 500 calories. And then sometimes I’ll get two at a time thinking I’m just drinking 40 calories. I could be drinking 1000 extra calories a day and not realizing it. So I am going to skip DD and if I want a soda from McDonald’s or Burger King I’m just going to go in because they have screwed up my drink orders as well.

Still 151. Maybe it’s the premier protein shakes I’m drinking? I know sometimes those artificial sweeteners can stall your weight loss. I’m grasping at straws here but I’m desperate. Today my calories will equal to around 1,170.

So I just googled it, and I found out that premier protein shakes can stall your weight. It has happened to other people. And once they reduced them their weight started going back down. But apparently too much protein is also bad? I’ve been eating basically nothing but protein. In the past week I’ve had pretty much nothing but protein shakes protein bars protein chips, and eggs. Am I maybe eating too much protein and is that why I’m not losing any weight? You could fill a library on what I don’t know about nutrition.

Protein is good but people need a balanced diet. Vegetables, fruit, whole grains etc. Eggs are good source of protein but at the same time not good to overdo them because they're high in cholesterol

Here's some info regarding protein shakes and losing weight Protein shakes: Good for weight loss? - Mayo Clinic

Are you finding yourself feeling healthier? Lighter? Clothes feeling loser? If so, those are all good things and it's great progress. There's so much more to consider than just the number on the scale. Plus you don't know what's going into that number. You have to consider things like sodium intake and muscle mass.

My number on the scale goes way down and then back up. It fluctuates for a while and then eventually goes back down. I just know that that's how it is and that I am steadily losing weight. Could be the same for you too. Hope you can relax about it. (((Hugs)))

I am off the diet and eating chocolate and crisps. Also I am a massive failure.I had to stop the yoga class cos it got too hard I couldn't start again with a beginners class after dropping it last year. The more advanced classes were too hard and I couldn't keep up.They were strenuous.Every Tuesday that came round I felt too tired to turn up.If not Turing up I was paying monthly for nothing so it was impacting financially. Also finding taxi money was a strain! So there you go I am a massive failure on diet and exercise!I have to make more effort!

You're not a failure eating healthy and exercising is hard, many people struggle with it including myself. I try to do some yoga at home with a stress relief yoga DVD and some books on it. I would probably not be able to do the basic stuff in a regular class so I just do what I can at my own pace

No I don’t feel healthier. I don’t have any loose skin or anything but I just feel huge and I feel physically uncomfortable. Like I have joint pain and other types of body aches that I feel like is weight related.

Today I’m sick for some reason and I can’t eat anything. I had an iced coffee at 260 calories and I only drank about half of it. Then I tried eating a 400 calorie TV dinner and I only ate 1/3 of it. So I’ve had less then 500 calories today but I just don’t feel like I can eat.

I ended up eating about 770 calories today. I just wasn’t feeling good. I may have figured out the cause (cat urine) and I’m taking the proper steps to fix it. I also pulled a muscle in my front left thigh today just from kneeling down and it’s just stuff like this that make me think losing more weight is necessary.

I was 152.6 today but yesterday I was 155.6. I’m not sure on my calories today. I had a Starbucks pink drink at 140 calories. Then I had 2 filet mignon sliders and a side of fries. There was no nutrition info available. I’m putting the fries at 400 and the sliders at 600. So give or take 1,140 calories today. I plan on weighing again on Monday.
