I was right. The flavored water was the reason I was stalled at 149 for a few days. I didn’t drink any yesterday and today I weighed myself and I was 147.8.

Today my calories are going to equal to around 1130-1200. Although currently I have only had 80 calories.

@MountainDewed - I suspect it was just water weight in general. We tend to drink a lot more when it is flavored.

153 this morning, lowest I have seen in a while. One week until shoulder surgery. I really want it low before that. I am hopeful I will have a reduced appetite with reduced activity.

I’m hoping to be at 146 by Sunday. Today my calculator says 1,025 calories, but I think it’s higher than that.

I went over yesterday by a few hundred. I had a really rich donut in the morning. I had some topped ice cream as an afternoon snack and salty soup last night. I worked out early afternoon. I was expecting a spike this morning, but I didn't get it. 153 again.

I was 146.8 today. I wasn’t expecting to hit 146 until tomorrow. My calories today, equal to the same 1200.

Kind of iffy, but I may come in under my limit and then go exercise so late that I might not eat before bed, which would mean a big deficit. Maybe too big; I might go over a couple of hundred on purpose before going to the gym. Without going into too much detail a "pipeline event" makes it unlikely that tomorrow's weigh in will be more than today's. I really hope my last couple of weights aren't low spike flukes. I want to be way down in my range before Friday's shoulder surgery. Seeking comfort in food is a bad general policy, but I would like to have a little leeway next weekend. Because of substance abuse history, I am not getting any pain meds. Ibuprofen and a stick to bite. A cup cake and ice cream might help.

Was up crazy late last night; had to pick up a kid an hour away at 2 am. I did 80 minutes of Arc trainer at 11, but I munched quite a bit before and after. Yet this morning I weighed 152. I did feel very dehydrated but I think the downward trend is very legit. I am going to try to get in as much gym time as I can between now and Friday before surgery.

Last night I went out to dinner and I really pigged out. I ate a serving of mozzarella sticks, some bread, a salad, some garlic bread, half a lasagna, soup, cheesecake with chocolate sauce, and ice cream with chocolate sauce. The waitress was probably thinking I’m one of those people that can magically eat whatever they want to and not gain a pound.

Anyways, I’ve gotten about 3 hours of sleep and I’ve been up since 12 chugging water since I’m so thirsty. I think I drank about 60oz of water in 2 hours. I look like I’m 4 months pregnant. I’m already wearing big pants and my stomach is sticking out. I’m wondering if I should be worried with all the water I’ve been drinking. I’m still really thirsty too. I don’t plan on eating again like that for weeks.

I just weighed myself and I was 154. That’s 8 pounds since Saturday. I defiantly have some sort of retention going on. I feel horrible. My heart is pounding and I have anxiety. Plus I’m still incredibly thirsty. I don’t think it’s worth going to the doctor for. But I am kind of worried.

I rounded up to 154 this morning. Looking less and less like dehydrated low spikes; I think I really am in the low 150s. It just seems like I went through the mid 150s too fast. I guess I was doing/eating something that made me retain a lot of water when I was upper 150s not long ago.

@Mountaindewed - Yes, that has to be fluids; it would take 28,000 excess calories to gain 8 pounds.

I felt horrible all day. I ended up eating around 1000 calories or so. I’ve been peeing water every 15 minutes, and not drinking much of anything. I’m thinking I'll see a pretty drastic decrease in the scale tomorrow, but I’m not sure. I’ll just have to wait and see.

I went a little overboard with late snacking last night. I did 90 minutes of arc trainer this morning and logged it as yesterday and just have to stick to my calorie budget today as if I had no exercise.

Welcome! I always liked getting the first few under (or out from under) my belt. It made me feel like I had a "lead to protect" and was really doing this.

I am currently enjoying my longest period of successful maintenance ever after losing over 65 pounds. I took my BMI from 34 to under 25 and have kept it below 25 for ten and a half months. I track calories; everything I eat, every day. I did not stop after I got to goal. I have had several ups and downs in weight over the past few decades. I just turned 60 in the best shape I have been since my 20s, largely driven by fear of being old and unhealthy. Now I will just be old.

Thank you for the warm welcome and sharing what works for you. I have lost weight in the past and kept it off for 15 years. 3-4 years ago I gained weight very rapidly and I tipped the scales at that 202.5. I couldn’t believe I weighed that much when I stepped on the scale. It was so easy to lose the weight when I was 23... but not so much now (I’ll be 40 in a couple months) thanks to age and women hormone issues. I am getting discouraged at how slow it can be, but I’m going to keep pushing forward.

After using the bathroom nonstop yesterday while barely drinking anything after 2AM, and also eating a low calorie diet, I weighed myself this morning and I was 147.6. I still feel kind of sick from everything though, but at least the water weight is gone. My calories today will equal to about 1150-1200.

Tomorrow's weigh in might be ugly. I went *way* over today for no good reason. I can do the math and I know when the dust settles it might be a quarter pound, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a 2 pound spike.

As predicted, a spike of a couple of pounds - 154.8 this morning. I usually don't track tenths, but noting it is still barely in the bottom half of the 150s (my maintenance range).
