I was 146.8 today. Tomorrow, I want to get some nacho fries from Taco Bell. They have 400 calories. I kind of want to get two boxes. I’m not sure that’s a good idea. That leaves me with 400 calories for the day. I guess if I have a piece of baked chicken for dinner at 110 calories. And 45 calories of steamed squash, that will leave me with 245 calories for a lean cuisine for a snack. It will work out.

I was 148 today. I thought I was going to be 151 again. I had some string cheese for breakfast and then I’m getting Taco Bell for lunch, and then dinner is going to be baked chicken. It should equal to 1200 calories.

I am BAAACK!

I definitely have gained at least five pounds of fat. I will weigh in tomorrow morning. I suspect maybe 178 pounds. I am going to try to convert this into some type of muscle. Despite the cold weather here, I will need to get back into my regiment which includes running. I am sure my fitness has dropped some, so I should not have high expectations on my first couple of runs. I will add that I started once again to monitor my calories. Recently, I have been keeping it at a maintenance level of about 2100 calories. So my secret formula to gain weight is to stop watching calories, and eat flavorful foods. Hmmm...I have heard about this before.

@Tucson - glad you are back; I was concerned about your disappearance.

I am just under 158 this morning. I went over quite a bit yesterday. Nearly all the overage happened late; my daughter got in from college and wanted to go out to IHOP. So due to the timing I know it is a bigger spike than gain. I hope to get some exercise today or tonight.

I weigh 177 pounds. It is cold outside. I may go to the fitness center to run on the elliptical and treadmill machines instead of running outside. Perhaps a few reps on the weight lifting machines. I am interested in burning off 250 to 300 calories in this way.

I was 147.6 today. I was slightly frustrated at the scale. I was hoping to be 146. I did weigh myself 2.5 hours earlier than yesterday. Today, I had some string cheese, a Hot Pocket and a chocolate peanut butter Twinkie. In about an hour I’m going to have a Toaster Scrambler. Dinner will be spaghetti tacos. It will all add up to around 1200 calories.

Going lower today to help make up for yesterday. was thinking about doing cardio today/tonight but changed my mind. I have had some shoulder pain the last couple of days and I think I have been overdoing it with the "slight use" of my left arm. It's only been 8 days since surgery.

I weigh still 21 stones almost 22 stones ,317 pounds,144 kg.I have not lost weight and am not making progress.This is my fault I have mostly stopped sweets and cakes but I swapped these sweet things for bread and toasted crumpets and I am still eating at the pub which is high calorie.I need to stick to 1200 calories a day and not allow my favourite comfort foods and I need to try walk more and at least do some kind of exercise.I know I can do this.I control what goes into my mouth and I can lose 50 pound a month if I stick to it.I will do this.I can do this.

Today my calories were 1500,so 300 over what they should be.I need to tweak it so that I am down to 1200 calories a day.Tomorrow I have written a plan what to eat to only consume 1200 calories.If I plan my meals and stick to eating only what is in the plan it should work.Lets see how it goes over the next month.

I have consumed 2232 calories. That pastry did not help. I will push myself to go to the fitness center for today, even though it may be for only an hour.

157 this morning. Only ~1300 calories yesterday, trying to balance out the prior day's overage a little.

@Mountaindewed - an anecdote for you. I woke up early went downstairs, went to the bathroom and weighed. 158. I usually can't get back to sleep when I wake up early, but it was still close to 5 and I was pretty tired so I tried and was able to get a couple of more hours. I went down to take a shower and needed to go again. I did then weighed again. 157. I don't think I peed a full 16 ounces; I think the elimination through exhalation is uneven. Anyway, that's how quickly a pound swing can happen sometimes. If I had gone ahead and stayed awake at 5, had some coffee and yogurt and went to the bathroom an hour or two later, I wouldn't have thought it was from yesterday.

I stuck to the 1200 calorie diet plan today.I had porridge oats in soya milk with one strawberry and blueberries for breakfast.Lunch was chicken and sweetcorn soup.Dinner was a 5 ounce salmon fillet,sweet potato,peas,broccoli and french beans,with a little olive oil and lemon,baked in the oven.I don't feel hungry and there are no cravings for sweet stuff,cakes,chocolate,ice creme etc.It is really important I do this as they found protein in my urine which means my kidneys are at risk.So day 1 of the diet went well,so far so good.I will take it one day,1 hour at a time.

I was 147 today. I was so frustrated I actually shoved the scale against the wall with my foot. Maybe it’s a plateau. I don’t know.

Hey Mountaindew,I know it is frustrating not to see what you want to see on the scales,but you are doing ok really,a pound or two out isn't really a big deal.I am 317 pounds and I want to get to 140 pounds so I have to lose 177 pounds so that is way out.Just be patient and yes fluids can vary the weight up and down so that is annoying but at least there are no massive swings for you in the wrong direction,eh?

I thought I had already posted today. My weight is 177. I have consumed about 2100 calories. After midnight, I had a cinnamon and sugar bagel, so I will count this toward my calorie count for the rest of the day.

156 this morning. Inflammation is finally waning, I think. I did end up with only 1228 calories yesterday, still making up some ground for Friday's overage but that didn't cause a drop of a pound; less fluid did. I will eat more normally today.

I stuck to the diet again today,1200 calories.It is only day 2 so early days.I will get weighed on the 6th February when I go to see the diabetic nurse.My blood sugars are coming down nicely.I feel much better eating healthy food rather than junk.

155 this morning, after going over goal yesterday but probably still below maintenance. Another pound of fluid dropped. I am back to pre-surgery weight after 11 days.

I am slowly coming to realise that this change in diet to healthy foods has to be a permanent lifestyle change.I weighed today I am 21 stone 7 pounds that is 136 kilos,301 pounds.It doesn't matter whether I lose the weight slowly or fast since my food choices have to remain healthy whatever.I saw myself in the mirror at the opticians today,my body is massive,my arms are enormous,I never saw myself as so fat,I guess I know now that I am not just overweight,I am obese,morbidly so!

Sunday and yesterday were off days for me. This afternoon I weighed myself at 4:30PM and I was wearing a heavy hoodie and jeans. I weighed 155. I took off that and I weighed 152. So I’m probably more like 149-150.

Today I had about 1200 calories. It was probably a little bit less than that though.
