Lost 2 more pounds this morning. That puts me at the 40 pounds lost marker. I'm so happy about that! My goal is to walk around my block again. I'm at the right weight now. It's just that I'm waiting on my back to catch up.

As far as eating healthy and doing keto... Keto Diet Dangers You Should Know About My biggest issue with keto is sustainability. It's something you do to lose weight and then quit doing. Some people say they switched for good. I don't personally know anyone who was able to do that. __________________ | |Up and down |And in the end it's only round and round |Pink Floyd - Us and Them | |bipolar II, substance use disorder, ADD |lamictal, straterra | |

Thanks for the article. What do you mean both numbers have to be valid? I’m still counting calories.
So far today I’ve had 2 hard boiled eggs, 4 slices of bacon, 1oz of mozzarella cheese, and a small tomato. Which all equals to 416 calories. I feel pretty full. Even if it’s not exactly Keto, I’m still eating better than I was before. I was going to have some nuts and seeds for a snack and then a piece of salmon and some cabbage with a tablespoon of butter for dinner. My issue is that I seem to be way under my 1200 calorie goal. Also I spent over $40 today for food that will last maybe 3 days. So cost may also be an issue. But I’ll give it a try. __________________ Ridin' with Biden |

I mean that you need to know how much you burn in a day and how much you consume. If you are not losing weight, you are not eating less than you burn, so one of those two numbers is not valid/correct. Your doctor can determine if you have a rare medical condition that causes a very low calorie burn. That's unlikely since you have been able to lose in the past and also because these conditions affect energy levels and ability to function normally. It is possible to have a lower than average metabolism and burn less than most people your age, height and weight but that is usually a difference of well under 10%. The other number is intake and if you weigh portions and track every single thing that should not be far off.

I was a bit under today at 1,130 calories. My stomach felt like I ate at a Golden Corral though. I guess maybe I should have less nuts and seeds and more meat. My meal plan tomorrow includes 2 more slices of bacon and 2 chicken breasts so I’ll actually meet my 1200 calories. I can see though why people lose fast on this diet. I’m going to start weighing myself every Tuesday instead of everyday. I think part of my problem is I’m getting discouraged by the scale.

I didn’t weigh myself like I said. My stomach looked flatter though. So far today I’ve had a 100 calorie package of nuts, 6 slices of bacon, a tomato, 2oz of mozzarella cheese, and a Halo Top ice cream bar. I’ve had 606 calories so far. I was going to have some seeds and another ice cream bar in a little bit. Then dinner is going to be some shrimp and 2 cups of cabbage. It will all equal to 1,215 calories for the day.

I didn’t really do keto today. 70 carbs. 1280 calories. I feel absolutely awful though. Headachy, heart racing, extreme anxiety, just feeling unwell today for some reason. I couldn’t function at work and it was discouraging. I’m wondering if it’s diet related.

I think I messed up today. I’m also pretty stressed so I’m not really hungry. My calculator says 950 calories and 41 carbs. I think it’s closer to 1100-1200 calories since the portions looked pretty large at Outback. I still haven’t weighed myself but I was having a really hard time keeping my pants up at work today which added to my stress about work. I came home and went to put on my belt and realized that was also too big and there were no more holes that would fit. So it seems to be working. I’ll know for sure on Tuesday when I weigh myself.

I've been maintaining my weight this week. I feel much lighter and want to exercise. It's just hard with my back. Best I can do is more housework around my place. More sweeping, mopping and vacuuming.

I had about 1,126 calories today. Maybe a little bit more. I kind of had too many carbs at 94. But I was reading that in order to see fast weight loss results you should be eating between 50 and 150 carbs. So I’m still in that range. So I guess I’m doing low carb low calorie instead of keto.

Keto backfired on me when I tried it and I gained. But I’m pretty sure I was eating too many calories. I also just didn’t enjoy eating those heavy foods all the time. I went on Weight Watchers instead and although that focuses on lower carb-it helps me keep things in check better by just counting the points. Then I know my carbs, calories and fat are all in check daily.

Yeah I feel like I gained a lot today based on how big my stomach is and how my clothes fit. but I’ve been counting my calories exactly so even if Keto did backfire on me I should still be losing weight because of calories in vs calories out. It’s impossible to gain if your eating less then you burn. I did a lot of walking yesterday too. I don’t really get it. I didn’t weigh myself though so I can’t be sure. Today I’ve had 485 calories so far and I was going to have some cheese and seeds in a little bit and some shrimp for dinner. It will equal to around 1,167 calories and 70 carbs.

Keto will work if you are doing it right. I was doing it wrong. You shouldn’t have much to worry about.

I have come depressingly close to my absolute upper limit, 4 pounds over the top of my preferred maintenance range. I have had a lot of days of lost control lately. I worked too hard for this. My BMI is still just a hair under 25 and I can keep it from going over if I put the brakes on. Then it's time to turn this thing around.

I decided to weigh myself this morning and I was 153.6. So a 6 pound loss. Water weight of course, but at least I didn’t gain. Today I’ve had a protein shake and 8 slices of bacon at 520 calories total. My entire day equals to 1,190 calories and 51.8 carbs.
