I'm working toward getting back on Keto and aside from some of the less obvious sugar/sweetener culprits I think I am pretty much there. In a few weeks I will work on those sneakier culprits. I know with keto the majority of my initial(probably the first week or two) weight loss is water weight. But it is still a huge boost to keep going. I go workout 4-5 days a week at our local gym with a friend. Might see if I can find some exercises to do at home the days we don't go. We'll see. Hopefully, I can get down to about 200-215 by the end of the year...which averages about 1-2 pounds a week.

Down 7.5 pounds!! There is already a change in how my clothes fit...even if it is mostly water. NOTE: I started transitioning to this diet Sunday even though I only posted the original post on Tuesday. I also know that this kind of weight loss won't be maintained meaning I won't lose 7.5 pounds a week...probably even after this week.
My goal is 2 pounds a week. We'll see how that goes. Last edited by DelusionsDaily; Aug 02, 2019 at 06:16 PM.. |

My desire for sugar today = horrendous. I haven't had any even still!! Yay!! Go me!! Grrr. This is getting harder now. I knew it would catch up with me eventually when it didn't happen in the first couple days. Anyway, staying motivated, the weight loss continues and I feel sooo much healthier. I work on staying healthy now not just the weight loss, but the weight loss is encouraging.

Do you have a link to the basic keto plan that is free and uncomplicated? I always seem to find the ones with elaborate expensive foods and no carb counts and nothing basic I can print out.

Unfortunately I do not have a plan. I typically work to create my own and keep it super simple. It might take a little more work but diet doctor has some good recipes as well as pinterest. Just be aware that I don't know that pintrest has the nutrition information. There is at least one book that is 5 ingredient keto recipes...I believe diet doctor website and the book have nutrition information. I have found it easier to find my own recipes online and create my own plans...namely for the fact that premade plans tend to be more complicated than helpful. If they aren't complicated they become difficult because they use ingredients I don't usually keep around the house and wont use enough of it to make it worth buying. Hope this helps.

Down 11.5 pounds. Joined OA and have a sponsor. Still following keto, but instead of adding fats I'm adding veggies. My treat right now when I'm feeling week depending on how far I am from the next meal is a few berries or grapes if it's too early to eat the next meal but if the next meal is within 30 minutes then I eat the next meal instead. I am feeling good. Been working out Monday-Friday, treadmill or bike. Actually today, did 20 on treadmill and 15 on bike.

Well, the scale hasn't moved except for usual fluctuations. However, someone did comment on my weight loss. Maybe fat & inches? I have been working out pretty intensely for the last few weeks now that I have changed my eating habits to a much healthier habit. Anyway, I guess I will see how it goes. As long as I am losing fat and there is some progress being seen by others I'll take it. I still weigh myself, probably too frequently, but it is habit...hoping that at some point the scale will budge.
Realizing how detrimental the scale has been to healthy weight loss for me. Still can be except I am making extraordinary efforts to keep the weight loss healthy. |

So, in total I am down 13.5. I have figured out I can be between 190 and 209 before the end of the year as long as at the very least keep my eating habits healthy. I know what I can and can't do...I am starting to incorporate some other exercises so my body doesn't adjust.
I know my real difficulty in maintaining this will be when the weight (fat) loss is more obvious to others and they start to comment. That seems to be when I start to fall apart with the healthy eating and exercising. |

Down a total of 19.5 as of this AM. Easily should be under 200 by the end of the year as long as I keep changing up my exercise routine to keep my body from adapting too much. We'll see how it goes but so far so good.

I have been feeling somewhat miserable. From what I can find and read...I believe it might be too much dairy or just dairy all together. So tomorrow I am slowly going to reduce dairy to a minimum. Otherwise, everything has been good. Exercising 5-6 days a week...some days harder than others. |

If anyone reads this, is it possible to exercise too much? I have taken a 3 day break and...I have lost 4 pounds, eating as I have been since I started on this healthier lifestyle.

Its like how body builders learn to manipulate their exercise, fuel and fluid intake in the week or two before a competition in order to show off their muscles to the best advantage, muscles pumped but skin not bloated. So youre really seeing the effects of your diet and exercise over the long term, not the past 3 days. You are doing incredible! I am the same way as you described a few posts ago - if i lose some, i almost compulsively gain it back. I almost had a heart attack at the drs this week when my wgt was still down the 5 lbs i lost last month! |

Thanks. I was getting really frustrated not seeing the results I wanted. However, when I workout I tend to continually push harder and harder. Maybe that is why I am not really seeing it on the scale so much. I definitely feel better overall regardless, but the weight loss would definitely help with my overall health. I have a good 70ish pounds I want to lose still. Slow and steady. I have to remember the weight gain didn't happen overnight and the weight loss needs to be slow and steady to be healthy and maintainable. I will be doing hip and waist measurements each month. See what happens. I also know this needs to be a lifestyle change that is what I am focusing on...or trying to...finding something that I can maintain longterm so that when I lose it...it will be easier to keep off. |

I cut out dairy, mostly by default because my refrigerator broke (its a long story). I think i feel better overall. I dont have days where i just feel cranky-ill. I still have it occasionally, but i think the fact that i would binge on it was a sign i had some intolerance to it. I mean, overeating cereal or yogurt? Lame!!

Really blew my diet the last couple days and feel like crap was a bit before that too. We had a loss in the family 2 days ago. It's been rough. I don't have the energy to keep up with much of anything let alone the diet I have been following. I'm pretty sure any of my not feeling good is probably stress related...not diet.
