It’s ok to be childish sometimes. Maybe if you give yourself permission to play, it might also facilitate more time engaging in “useful” activities

Ive spent every day since Friday all over the net. Im officially addicted now. Addicted to the adrenaline rush when someone responds and depressed as fck when somebody says something i dont want to hear or worse, ignores me or takes to long to respond or doesnt friend/follow me back. I know! I know! Its stupid and petty. Im stupid, but im too lazy/depressed or unwilling to try to stop. I keep digging and digging for that high. Omg!

Going a little better today after a break yesterday and attempting to focus my priorities on various sites. I was without a computer last week though for 4 or 5 full days...and then I still got addicted. I find my mind is often on what's going on online, but last night I at least went out to see a movie and today I didn't look at my tablet WHILST watching tv (yeah, that's when I know the addiction is getting bad. Can't even wait until a show is over! Eek!...although sometimes, rarely though, I'm multitasking so I can get to other things)

Spoke too soon! Thoughts of internet things to do on my mind all night...suppose it could've simply been because I was hungry though and already having trouble sleeping...but well, I'm here now so what does that say? Sigh!

Now it's just becoming a habit! At the same time, don't have anything better to do. By better I mean WANT to do...maybe I'll go do some yoga. If I get hungry, screw my fasting for one day!

I dunno I am even here right now. My eyes are tired of reading and flipping through posts. I mean, I kinda like what we've got going on here. Chit chat, but not several long posts at once. It's not a bad thing, just bad for me at the moment. Stressing about catching every post, being directed by what others find a priority. I hate it sometimes that some of my posts never get responses or very few (im talking about the dead forums where nobody posts or comments for months). Anyway, keep this short. I may or may not go to bed now...its about time and I'm tired. Damn! I have to do something....

Ok. Back. Boy I hated doing all that. Was nice and comfy relaxed and I had to move. Hopefully no more tonight!

for psych central I only post on the bipolar forum the poo bah closed forum and the addictions forum. That is it. I can hardly keep up with them. I only follow a few threads in the bipolar forum because it is just too much.So I post on the daily check in#41, the physical check in, and a couple other peoples threads but that is it.

mine's back with a raging vengence! I joined a new forum recently and am on there as much as i'm on here. bleh! i mean, i love it! but it's not healthy now, is it.

but we started this game "how long can you go without internet" and it's been a fun challenge. My record is 2hours straight during waking hours. Some folks are pretty impressive. I just wish i could be more self motivated...i feel like i need a jolt of energy from folks to get me doing things (that's why these forums are productive but..) but yeah, wish i could self start more...like i need to go work out, but i need someone to tell me "just go do it already!" :P

It's easy for me to lose track of time once I start reading articles or posts. I would have this mental checklist where I would have to catch up on the news, read about relationships, check out beauty and health care tips, say a couple of pithy things on a history or other forum and watch videos of cats or other baby animals. My job is stressful and requires a lot of mental energy so I find it's my way to wind down, but I know I spend way too much time at it.

9pm Just got back from our friends house. Looking back over todays doings and it wasn't much. I did not even do billing. I will do that tomorrow.
Maybe I will go to the horse farm market. It is open until noon. Scratch farm kitchen has a food truck there and they are so good!
Tomorrow night is the strings concert. Carol wants to go and said she would drive. Maybe she would like to do dinner? Maybe I could fix it for her like I said before. I am feeling better, more in control.
Thank you for your support.
