Hope you're settling in well here on PC. It's cold & snowy where I live. But the fireplace is warm & cozy. Can't ask for too much more than that...

I am a baby when it comes to driving in snow. Well in NJ everyone drives like a **** on a normal day so snow and rain driving make people drive the worst. My husband has his second ablasion this morning. My daughter sometimes takes the bus but in bad or super cold weather I drive her. Its snowing here with only two inches but I swear NJ drivers do great in horrible snow but annoying snow they are the worst-myself included. She is going to have to wait in the snow for the bus and then I have to drive 40 minutes to the hospital and then back with a sedated man. I am not looking forward to it. We have a truck with 4 wheel drive but its been giving us trouble and I may have to use the little car. I told you I was a baby...at least I am willing to (most bad weather days) avoid driving and know my limitations.

I got hit with a wave of sadness in the metro today. Odd how when I start sleeping again after insomnia, then some deep emotion comes through. I felt like I wouldn't get home, but I told my inner self "it's ok. breathe. it's ok". Now I read a couple of threads and started crying.
One good thing from Sisabel's thread on boundaries is that someone phoned me late this morning about a business thing and I didn't take the call! I feel guilty, but it can wait until tomorrow and self-care comes first. Seems important to let my self know that she can come first when hurting! She's grateful...……….. Can't say that I ever came first before now, so that is a big thing. Interesting that I can practice that for myself. Seems like my inner self needs care and gentleness, but another voice wants to rant about not getting things done. Care and gentleness can get the important things done, no need to fret! __________________ *"Fierce <-> Reality"* oh god I am struggling today, help me to remember how to stay connected and human! remember: the nut shell against human predators and my own fear! |

Thank you Kuru! After practising self-care for an hour, I undid a weaving that I started in October and wove it up again correctly. It has been on my mind, but I've neglected weaving because of all the business stuff going on.
I am treating myself to an expensive lesson on a full-sized loom this coming Sunday, and I was questioning if I'm ready for this next step up in technical competence. Scared that I'm wasting money and the teacher's time. I'm moving, so I need to decide whether I want space to weave on a full-sized loom in my new home = size of a double bed! I've totally wanted to weave since I was 4 years old!! Crazy, dancing, life-loving child! But creativity requires emotional nurture, as well as giving emotionally to my self and to other people! __________________ *"Fierce <-> Reality"* oh god I am struggling today, help me to remember how to stay connected and human! remember: the nut shell against human predators and my own fear! |
