I watched the youtube video a few times and I do not understand it exactly. I do not know what is wrong with me. Has it helped previously disorganized people into being more organized? I would like to try it if it works? Are there better ways of understanding it?

I have never heard of it, sarahsweets, so I've briefly looked it up. I didn't understand it too much either, but from what I've seen it's simply a diary you have to keep updated with the things you have to do. I'd suggest to try it if you can. After all it doesn't hurt to try. I've heard people say that journaling has helped them make them more organized with their schedules, although I'm not sure about this kind of specific journaling. Try it out and see how it goes. Hopefully it will help you. I'm so sorry, I wish I've had more advice to give to you. Wish you good luck! Let us know how it goes. Sending many hugs to you

I write 3 pages in my moleskine every morning as soon as I get up.

I use Trello to track my to dos with that. You just make a card and add a task. It feels good to move cards to the "done" card.

As I write, I think of stuff I have/want to do and just pop it into trello. I used to use wrike, trello is much versatile imo.

It keeps me focused and organized. I have a daily to do column to make sure I do all the things I have to do in my morning routine as well as other aspects I need to keep sorted,

Bullet journaling is the new term for using a daily planner. only its a computer software system that you can download, use online or purchase for your computer.

yes i use it. I find it very handy to keep a daily planner of what I and my family are doing. keeping a daily planner type of journal also helps with my memory problems associated with my many mental and physical health problems. it keeps me on track of what i am donig today, next week next month and also if I because of meds or health issues cant remember what I did yesterday, the day before or months ago all I need to do is open the bullet journal and look to see what I did.

I know many people who keep daily planners. some even keep more than one. here in the USA daily planners have been sold in department stores and stationary stores and office supplies stores for decades. heck I even remember gonig to first grade and my teacher had a daily planner on her desk as a desk blotter. daily planning systems whether they are computerized or the paper booklet style for purses and travel or on a wall as a calendar or on a desk as a desk blotter have been around and used here in america for a very long time.

I have a bullet journal. It doesn't just mean the specific brand but refers to to the style and method of journalling.

Yes, it helps me organise my life AND is a creative outlet. I don't just use it as a date timer or to keep track of things but I have also made it into an art journal. I have my standard pages of managing my calendar (dates, events, and diary items). I also have logs to track and record things - like mood, water I drink, and sleep.

It is really what you want to make of it.

You can spend as little or as a lot of money as you choose. Out there are available stickers, page inserts, printable organisers, and log sheets. Many people use their bullet journals as works of art. Scrap booking in them is very popular.

Basically, a bullet journal is a good reflection of the person to which it belongs.

For me, I don't think something like that would be worth the energy needed to invest in setting something like that up. I'm ok enough with a basic calendar with any upcoming dates and if I do make a to do list, I like to toss those when finished. If I need to journal thoughts from a moment, I have a journal.

You have to be organised enough to put things into the right place in the journal . I use an old fashioned Letts diary, but like Healingm4me I don't like huge lists in my diary. I have a separate notebook for to do lists and travel timetables etc, which feeds into the diary and gets torn up when it's full.

I seem to be surrounded by disorganised people lately, and my organisational process comes out of dealing with that. Having the background stuff written down helps me to feel less frustrated with them in the moment because my brain has already mapped the essential background information. Helps me with letting go.

Interesting to all the replies! I had heard of bullet journaling but didn't really know what exactly it was or how it was different from regular journaling. Thanks for the question Sarahsweets and for the answers in this thread.
