I feel like a terrible person to have to come to a place where people have real troubles and attempt to fit myself in. IÂ’m not form a necessarily broken home, we may be extremely poor but I still have a loving family. I had been diagnosed with ADHD as a child, but never took any medication for it, so I just never paid it any mind. I had severe anger issues, but was still a generally happy child. I donÂ’t know what had happened, but all of the happiness inside me just disappeared. I suddenly became uninterested in all my hobbies, noticed that my anger problems had worsened, and am very lonely. I then turned to drugs a means to escape. Which worked until I couldnÂ’t get anymore so now I was stuck having to fix my life on my own. [trigge]I eventually attempted suicide, thinking that it will solve all my problems.[/trigger] It didnÂ’t. I realized how selfish and weak I was being to my friends and family. So please can anyone out there please tell me whatÂ’s wrong with me?

Hello disusername: Thank you for bringing your concern here to PC. I see this is your first post. So... welcome to Psych Central. Two forums, here on PC, that may be of interest to you would be the ADHD forum & the depression forum. Here are links to these forums:

https://psychcentralforums.com/atten...der-add-adhd-/

https://psychcentralforums.com/depression/

You asked if anyone here can tell you what's wrong. We here on PC cannot offer mental health diagnoses. Plus I'm not a mental health professional. So I can't suggest to you what may be going on with you. However some of what you described certainly sounds to me like depression. To get a proper diagnosis, though, you would need to see a mental health professional; perhaps a psychologist or mental health therapist to begin with.

One thing you might do, here on PC, is to take some of the quizzes & tests that are on offer. There's a link at the top of the page to the quizzes & test that are available. However here is a link to them as well:

Psychological Quizzes and Tests

Here are links to 4 articles, from Psych Central's archives, that may be of interest:

I hope you find PC to be of benefit.

P.S. Your mention of your anger issues struck a chord with me since anger is something I have dealt with a lot myself. So here's a link to yet another article that occurred to me as I read your post:
