hey, how's it going... I have tried researching this but can't find what I am looking for, so I hope someone can give me some insight.

Someone who is close to me has this thing that happens with their eyes. Like we could be talking, that person may start feeling frustrated or angry, and then suddenly the eyes change. What I mean by change is they are not normal anymore, they get really big like golf balls. They are aware there eyes are huge but can't control it. Personality changes suddenly too, kinda like the monster came out. This individual is usually really quiet. I have seen my share of angry people in my life, but I have only seen this eye thing with this person so I have no experience about what is going on. It is not something they are trying to do.
I can only describe it like they look possessed.

Eventually after they calm down, their eyes change back to normal.

Thanks in advance for any help

Hello maxkitty: I'm sorry I cannot be of any help with regard to this. But I noticed this is your first post here on PC. So... welcome to Psych Central. I hope you find PC to be of benefit.

I marvel at this very thing in my children. its just how the normal body works with its muscles, nerves and expressing emotions. if you watch very young children when they are talking you will see a variety of emotions in their face, how their eyes get big and small how their noses, cheecks, mouths twitch and smile. how their eye brows make different emotions.

theres actual acting classes that teach adults how to show emotions. I once took a college drama class where we had to look in a mirror, say our lines and show not only by tone of voice but by posture and facial expressions.

I bet if you sit down and look in a mirror and talk about those things that make you happy and sad, angry you will see that even your eyes and other facial features changes with your normal expressions of what you are talking about. its actually quite interesting how the human body finds ways to express emotions like anger and happiness.

Thank you Skeezyks, I appreciate the welcome.
I have so many things to talk about here.

I hope someone can understand what I am talking about regarding the eyes. Feel free to comment or ask questions.

amandalouise, I really appreciate you taking the time to reply. I understand everything you say.
I left my post a little vague and didn't give much insight regarding this persons behavior.

After talking with a friend one time about this person, he asked "do her eyes change?, if you've seen it you'll know what I mean".
He knew exactly the eyes I'm talking about.
It literally hurts to try and copy it let alone hold it for 30 minutes or so without seeming to blink. I was trying to do this in reverse on purpose. I didn't want to list all the other traits and have people focus on those. I was hoping someone could relate to just the eye thing first.

Again thank you for your reply. I may have to paint the whole picture before really understanding. I don't talk about this, except for with that one friend years ago, so this is new to me.

Could it be this person is scared, that it's some kind of panic reaction? If you look at eyes of scared people on the internet, does it look similar? It might be a reaction of a person feeling threatened.
