So. I am very confused. First, i will say that I am not diagnosed with anything so I dont have anything that would lead me to some sort of conclusion.
So I dont know when it started, but for quite a long time, I have always thought about getting hurt or something bad happening to me. Like, for some reason I often have daydreams of me being in a car accident and going to the hospital. Or theres a school shooting and I am the person who gets shot. Or I get kidnapped, but barely survive. Or even just falling off my schools stage. Just something bad. What I think it is is maybe attention? But i dont know since i also just, die in some of these. To be honest im just really confused and I dont know what to think about it. Is this something of concern or should I just ignore it?

You can see it as a way of trying to escape a bad situation. When you die it's finally over, when you survive you likely get the proper care that you needed or when you get kidnapped, you're at least out of the bad situation. It can be something going on at that moment, it can also be it's something from the past that is still effecting you. So possibly there have been situations were you needed proper care but didn't get it that makes you live with beliefs this likely won't happen when you need it or maybe only in situations where you've seen people getting proper care, so that you fantasize about that as a way of getting the care that you needed that way. What you can do that might help is identifying behavior that may have happened to you in the past, such as emotional neglect, emotional/psychological abuse. If online resources don't help you enough you can also try to talk to a therapist about it, I wouldn't recommend to ignore it if it still keeps on happening.

It may very well be your desire to be noticed and cared about. The desire to be noticed and cared about by others is pretty normal. It is concerning that you fantacize about gaining that attention only by being hurt or sick though.
