Hello Chargedupray: I see this is your first post here on PC. Welcome to Psych Central.

We here on PC cannot offer mental health diagnoses. Plus I'm not a mental health professional. (Most of us here on PC are not.) So I can't suggest anything with regard to what may be going on with your friend. You mentioned he was taken to a psychiatric hospital a few days ago. The professional staff there are the ones who are going to have to figure out what is going on & what treatments may be appropriate. Perhaps other members, here on PC, may have some thoughts they'll wish to share regarding your friend's situation though.

I hope you find PC to be of benefit.

Hi Chargedupray,

Yes, there's a lot there to ring the alarm bells all right. And especially when a person believes other people, for no reason at all, are out to try to kill him or 'get him'. It's disconcerting, saddening.

Good on you for wanting the best for your friend and if all goes well, you should see an improvement in him soon. Thank you for sharing.

A very warm welcome to PC, as well.
