Hello. Does anyone know if there is a statute of limitations regarding filing a formal complaint with the state licensing board against a psychiatrist? It is an issue from about 2 years ago and I live in Pa. I cannot find any information online.
Thanks!

I don't think so. Have you call the licensing board of that state and ask?

I don't know the answer to that myself, but I second Buffy's idea of calling and asking.

its no surprise to me that right now you are unable to get an actual person. the usa is dealing with the pandemic therefore special rules, guidelines, protocals and prioritizing is being done.

my suggestion is to send an email to your states board of clinical social workers or an actual letter to them in the mail.

yes some states have a statute of limitations on abuse by a mental treatment provider, it all depends upon what your states laws are for what ever kind of abuse it was that happened.

you can ask in your email or letter to the state department whether what ever happened is abuse and what to do next.
