Hi there!

Long time no post. I was just listening to one of those 10 hours of rain sounds in my bedroom when I JUST realized I can literally feel the raindrops... in my bedroom. AndI realized this has happened before.. many times but it's never dawned on me. Even after realizing I can still feel little sprinkles on my neck, arms, and legs. Even on my forehead sometimes. Is this a thing?!

Hi Mysterygirl202.

Wow, that's interesting. There is such a thing as 'tactile hallucinations' but I don't think it's what you're describing because that's more of a random thing and not a meditative experience. It's almost as if part of you can go deep into consciousness itself where everything, the rain, is as real as anywhere. Just my own thoughts there.

But as for a psychological abnormality of some sort, I really don't know, unfortunately.

In auditory-tactile synesthesia, certain sounds can induce sensations in parts of the body. For example, someone with auditory-tactile synesthesia may experience that hearing a specific word feels like touch in one specific part of the body or may experience that certain sounds can create a sensation in the skin without being touched. It is one of the least common forms of synesthesia. This is from WikipediaSynesthesia - Wikipedia
