I don't know the answer to this. But I noticed no one had yet replied to your post. So I thought I would. (By the way, you mentioned you're 63. I'm 72!)

Your question may be one you'd need to consult a mental health professional on. My instinct would be to say something like this is certainly possible. But I really don't know.

One thing I seem to be experiencing recently is symptoms that seem similar to what is referred to as "sundown syndrome". Often sundown syndrome is linked to dementia; but not always. Every afternoon somewhere between 3 & 4 o'clock or so I begin to get really anxious, sort of dizzy & dissociated. I've even noticed my gait seems to feel a bit odd, sort-of as if I were walking through a field of mud, if that makes any sense. I haven't checked in with my doctor about what I'm experiencing.

Anyway... perhaps there will yet be other PC members who will be able to offer some insights into what you are experoencing. Best wishes...

Do you mean clinical or situational depression can turn into bipolar? i believe that bipolar can be misdiagnosed as situation or clinical depression but I do not believe they can 'turn into' bipolar IMO>
