Everytime I see myself on video or on a picture I just cringe. Sometimes I question: Do people have the same kind of thoughts about themself? Do they see themself cringy and weirdly on video, like Youtubers? I think it has to do with the way I expect to look/see myself act versus the reality, which in most cases doesn’t match up. When I talk with my friends then they look normal to me, but when I try to visualise on how I look, I find myself cringy. Is it because I’m not used to seeing myself or is it the way I am? With acts I mean facial expressions, handmovement, flexibility etc.

From what I understand @KhabibTme912, what you're describing is really quite common. A lot of people - not all - but a lot of people have this cringe factor when seeing and hearing themselves in videos and pictures.

Take a look at this video and you'll see you're not alone with this.

You probably had critical parents. That why you feel this way.

He needs to stop with that annoying jump edit. I am not surprised some people cringe, don't mean you OP, but the way some parade their egos annoy me. I cringe for them. I won't watch anyone who has a little image of themselves in the corner. Or any loud 'look at my ego' idiot. As for the people who want to show 'you guys' how to do something. Yuck.

I thought that was a really good video; I definitely learned something new, which was that the mirror and video show us differently, because of asymmetrical differences. Thanks for the link.
