There are 9 symptoms of BPD. You can use google or a search engine to find out what they are. In order to be diagnosed, a professional must find 5 of these symptoms in you. There's a test on psych central for BPD, but I recommend getting a formal assessment (and so does the test).

"BPD is characterised by impairment in interpersonal functioning (including poor empathy, and problems with trust and intimacy) and difficult personality traits, such as disinhibition and antagonism, and impulsivity.

In addition, in BPD, reduced interpersonal trust may lead the individual to be hyper-vigilant about other’s facial expressions or tone of voice, leading to enhanced emotion recognition skills even if talking about other’s mental states (“why are you angry with me?”, or “are you fed up with me?”), which may be socially inappropriate."

I originally didn't post the link because it talks about the overlap between BPD and ASD:

The overlap between autistic spectrum conditions and borderline personality disorder

Are you having any therapy? A diagnosis would probably result in therapy being recommend or prescribed. Emotional distress is a good reason to talk to a therapist, or seek help, whatever helps
