Only about 2-4 more weeks of summer weather and then it will be over. I find myself already dreading it? Do you?
I will not miss the heatwave but will miss summer.

No I personally will not miss summer going away...... and for two reasons only.

1.) School has started back, therefore, I have my quite peaceful home back.

2.) Summer is to HOT in Florida.... I like Fall better.

PasDeDeux,

I'm with Rhapsody, although I'm in another part of the country. It has been so hot in the Midwest (triple digit temps), I am really looking forward to Fall.

I kinda do PasDeDeux.

I only get three weeks of summer vacation (right now) because I took summer university classes. And regular classes start the 2nd week of September. (erp)

And its been quite nice - albeit really hot at times. I can't stand winter though (and in Canada I feel it gets REALLY bad)

I don't see summer as a specific date when it begins/ends (like other seasons as well) but am going to miss this weather. Wow.

i prefer winter weather, it is colder so therefore there are less people out on the streets, its a bonus if it rains.

Yes PasDeDeux, I'm dreading summer ending.

Due to a few physical illnesses I am VERY sensitive to temps below 50 degrees fahrenheit-- I wear multiple layers from November thru March-- and I don't even live where it gets that cold!

I LOVE summer and hot weather! Do you find you are dreading summer ending? I'm physically so much more comfortable and mentally it's also better as the days are longer with more sunshine!

Bye bye warm bright sunshine-- Do you find you are dreading summer ending? Do you find you are dreading summer ending?

im completely dreading it, especially considering how long they last here in England. the cold, wet weather makes me so unhappy, im sure i suffer from S.A.D (seasonal affective disorder). Not only that, i look pale too becaus ei am naturally pale skinned, and in the summer i tan up nicely which makes me feel slightly more confident in my own skin, but when winter comes i lose my tan, therefore going back to looking unhealthily pale.

roll on next summer i say...

You're gonna hate me for this Simon, but I am looking forward to the start of summer! Our summer starts in September and I have been hating the winter. Go somewhere south and you can have summer all year!!!

I am hating the end of summer..About the only thing I have enjoyed this past year is swimming in my pool...I think it has kept me sane...Kept me from becoming a complete agoraphobic...I am afraid once the bad weather comes and I have to stay it...that will be the end of my going outside...I am very scared...

I used to dread the end of summer-always thought that YUCK, everything was dead or dormant. Until, I started breaking up the season. The northeast can get mighty drab and colorless prior to the pretty winter snows. Soooo, I started jazzing up the place. Every month I have some cheery decorations I put up round the house, on my outside doors. Like welcome fall, Halloween (we do a big display for that), etc.. I am always kind of gazing one month ahead (even though I am not very elaborate with what I do, except maybe Christmas gets a bit more attention) it keeps my mind geared in the spirit of "something" and celebrating each season. I really welcome the break from the heat now, and the season of allergies. By the end of December (I call that prespring for me) I am really gearing up for spring and implementing final plans for my garden (and it's not all that big).

If you are a crafty person, start making some doo-dads for the holidays, even if you are not. There are so many things that one can do, set aside a time once a week to put some "spirit" into the drab. It's all about perspective-you know turn that lemon into lemonade, bowl of cherries, box of chocolates thing.

Oh, yeah, this reminds me, I am going to start on Christmas cards and tags. Last year we goofed around with making tags, and they came out great. This year we said let's do cards, so, that I should probably start by Sept...it's a bit of work to design, print, color and add glitter to em all.

Hope some of this helps, hugs, Lisa

I HATE HATE HATE WINTER and fall is pretty but not a lot to do outdoors. We have real winters here....cold and snow. I wish I had a southern winter because then I could still garden and swim and lay out, BBQ so much I cannot do come winter. I also miss the sun. It is getting darker here earlier and that stinks Do you find you are dreading summer ending?

Not really. I don't like the heat and humidity we get here in southern NJ...and fall means FOOTBALL(go Eagles)and NASCAR's 'Playoffs'(The Chase for the Nextel Cup)..on a different note, it also means study, study, and more study, as I go back to college after Labor Day.

I prefer Autumn, the clear, crisp, drier air. Only thing I do not care for is losing the extra daylight.
Spring is one of my favourites too.
Only as a child, did I like Summer and became slightly saddened by it's end.
Being older, hot flashes and more pounds than I want, make Summer uncomfortable for me,and seems to make the hot flashes hotter?
Autumn, apple season, yay!! Do you find you are dreading summer ending?
