and analyze yourself in social settings?
Even when I'm with close friends, I'm analyzing everything in my mind. For example, I think :"did I sound to condescending"? "did I sound stupid"? "Should I have said it"? I wish I could just let go and have fun with people instead of ruing it by over thinking and then regret what I say or do. |

I am constantly thinking to much and questioning myself when it comes to social interactions in any way: in person, on facebook, email, etc. Always wondering if people are thinking badly of me. I think it has to do with the low self esteem that has resulted from my current depression.

Gawd Yes!
Sometimes I have to tell myself to "STOP IT" out loud before I run myself of the rails with it! Another one of those "learned" behaviors I'll eventually overcome ... I Hope! |

Yes. Ever since I was a kid. I never thought I got anything right. Always feeling like I've done something wrong even when I didn't. Or said something wrong, when I didn't. Always feeling guilty for no reason at all.

The way I describe my mind to friends is, "I think about everything. All the time."

I have been told I think too much. Its really hard to stop. When I am trying to get to sleep my thoughts go into overdrive.

All the time. Even on the internet.
I am constantly deleting/editing posts or even out right not typing responses I want to make because I'm worried I'll do something wrong. |

Always!! My mind never rests! I even get suspicious about certain people and obsessively wonder what THEY are thinking.

Yep, yep. I'm always thinking and overthinking, mind-racing. I read social cues very carefully and probably over-read them at times, seeing more meaning than is really there (sometimes I joke that I have the opposite of autism, being constantly over-attuned to social cues instead of missing them).

Yes I think too much. But it comes in the form of ruminating. I replay conversations and what I did. Or what I could have said or done.

Yes I do think too much. It doesn't happen often around people but at night when I'm suppose to sleep I think about everything which could last up 3 hours . And it makes me get a headache and feel depressed

Yes I over analyse every aspect of my life but especially my social relationships. I feel it's part of being highly sensitive.

I can overthink sometimes, yes. I try not to, but night times when anxiety usually runs high, overthinking tends to go into overdrive.

Blanche Overthinker Dubois. "Overthinker" is my middle name. If it were an Olympic event, I'd take the gold medal.
