I finished my Christmas shopping a few days ago. Did it all online and had the items I could, gift wrapped. Only one item couldn't be gift wrapped but I can easily wrap it myself as it's a bottle of cologne. I love the fact that I can shop online while sitting in my living room, in my jammies, and not have to fight the hordes of others doing the same thing in the mall or other stores. What would I do without this great invention we call the World Wide Web?

I couldn't thank Vinton Cerf and his successor, Timothy Berners-Lee, enough (Vinton Cerf invented computer to computer communications in 1973, which was further perfected into network to network communications by Timothy Berners-Lee in 1989, and later exploded into what we know as the Web today).

These great men made introverts like myself able to lead introverted lives more successfully than ever before. Wait. Is that a good thing?

Getting all my Christmas shopping done online would be a dream! My sister does it every year and I envy her.
I often put it off far too long so the things I want can't be shipped until after Christmas....unless I pay an outrageous shipping fee.

So I battle through Wal-Mart for hours as usual seconding guessing everything I pick out.
But I have it finished, for the most part.

Ah...the age old tradition of wrestling through throngs of Walmart shoppers (who wear either too little, or too much for their body type, or perhaps nothing at all), and getting that highly coveted item on your list, only to find out the person you got it for wanted it in blue instead. Well, it's the thought that counts, right?

Besides, I hear they make all sorts of creative ways to package gift cards these days. Might be a better investment if all else fails. Plus, they can go people watching at Wally World for a bonus (always good for a laugh, or at least they illicit some form of reaction ).

Ugh, yes!
Sadly I live in such a small town that there is only a wal-mart, grocery store, and dollar store. So wal-mart is the best option for items.
But, I was about to burn the whole place down lastnight because my boyfriend and I spent probably a half hour or longer looking for simple kitchen knives! They were (of course) not in the spot they usually are and no workers seemed to know where they moved them too....

Hmm...local woman burns down Walmart in a fit of rage over misplaced kitchen knives.....Employees clueless where they were in first place.

Yup, has all the trappings of a great newspaper headline. Hmmm. Not far off from what we already see though, sadly enough.

Glad you found the knives before you temporarily lost your gourd and began playing with the pretty dancing flames.

Whilst I love a good campfire....I doubt it would have ended well.

LOL! That is one interesting headline!
And yeah, reminds me of all the black Friday madness.
I'm always on lock down in my house when that is going on.

A lot of the employees are just rude at my store, though I can see why, I wouldn't be happy working there either.
Costumer service is FAR from my thing...

Mailed mine December 1st.
Gave out all but one now... I will get grocery store gift cards for the lady who is my assistant...

I have one gift which I opened then, one gift unopened and I suspect my assistant and her husband & daughter will give me something... I'll wait til the Birth date of the Messiah Jesus to open in celebration.

I'm not doing any christmas shopping this year. Everyone is getting handmade gifts from me. I'm still working on a couple of them.

Have finished all the gift shopping - all wrapped and ready. Just have to get some last minute Christmas food items on Christmas eve.

All the online shopping is done. I have a couple of gift cards but I have to wait until I have money again. (Thankfully SSDI is before Christmas.)
