A non-exclusive thread, founded by CepheidVariable (who coined the name), Purple,Violet,Blue, and myself, so as not to completely hijack another thread with our silly banter. Join us, won't you?
And now for the maiden banter: ......err....hmm. |

I will let you know as soon as I find out myself. Really, we just felt bad about hogging the "How are you feeling today" thread, so we're moving our chatter here.
And how have you been, Starry? How are you feeling about your medication thus far? |

Ah ok!
Hi Bjornen I have been doing really well. Though today I am having kind of a difficult day. My medication is making me happier. It is also giving me some unwanted side effects. I moved into a new place. Not sure if I'd told you or if you knew that. How are you? |

I've been trying to finish a novel I've been writing for some time. Cep and Bjornen (and some other good people) were kind enough to show an interest.
The depression I succumbed to this year pretty much stamped out the pleasure I used to take in these things. They encouraged me to try writing a small amount. I did. It wasn't completely horrible! Unless specifically banned from doing so, I might post a few lines of my novel in this thread. It might be the shortest thread in the history of PC. |

Starrysky, I hadn't heard you moved! How do you like your new place? I'm in the same boat of side effects mixed with happiness. Though, I'm a few months in, so the side effects seem to be going down. Here's hoping the same will be true for you.

I would love to see some of your writing, PVB, and not just because my namesake is sort of in it.

Are you participating in NANOWRIMO this November, then, PVB? I'm glad you're getting into writing again. And that it wasn't completely horrible! Double bonus!

I like my new place very very much. I feel spoiled. It's awesome to be away from my parents, and I also feel closer to them now. I think they're happier too with it like this. Its a good apt. too. |

No, I don't do any NANO's. Do you? Writing this long piece of work takes everything I have. I envy people who can dash off other things here and there. |

When I was in high school, one of my classmates was a sweet guy named Bjorn. He was an exchange student from Norway.
I just heard that there's been another (TRIGGER WARNING) ...shooting. Some man went haywire in a town north of where I live. So far 5 people dead - he shot in an elementary school yard, but no word on the children yet. Another heart-wrenching massacre. (END TRIGGER) And I'm reading the biography Lou Reed: A Life. Laurie, how is the book? I don't know any Lou Reed music but I think Cat Power did a cover of one of his songs which I liked.
PVB, no, I'm not doing Nanowrimo. I like to write, but it's more poetry and personal essay. I think they have a poetry nanowrimo, actually. I should check into it. Anyway, yeah it seems pretty amazing and dedicated to be able to rattle off a novel in a month. But no one said it has to be a good novel. I think it's more of a writing practice / fun kind of thing. To see if one can do it. It is very cool that you are a writer and writing |

Thanks. It was mostly because it was in "The Coffeehouse" which suggests quick one-offs more than discussions. So we bumped it up to this forum. It's also a thinly veiled attempt to become more famous. |

Hey Bjørnen, Purple, and starrysky! I hope you're all doing well.
I'm feeling more anxious than anything else today, but otherwise alright. I'm glad to hear you all are getting some benefit from your medications (Purple too). That can be a tough thing to sort out. And, yeah, some of the side effects can be odd and unpleasant. How about it Bjørnen? Do you feel inspired to compose something like "Psych Medication Blues"? |
