Is anyone else very into skincare routines? It's a huge part of my self care.
When I get home I remove my eye makeup with Lancome Bifacil, then double cleanse: first with Caudalie Cleansing Oil, then with Fresh Soy Cleanser (I sometimes use the Ole Henriksen foaming cleanser). I tone with Kiehls Ultra Facial Oil Free Toner, then I apply Ole Henriksen Invigorating Nighttime Treatment, wait 20 minutes and then apply Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation cream. I use an eye cream, right now I'm using Algenist Complete Renewal Eye Balm. I also like Fresh Black Tea eye cream. During the day I use various Korean sheet masks, oils and other treatments. I like the Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Youth Activating Face Oil, and usually before I shower in the evening I'll use a face mask like Fresh Rose, Umbrian Clay, Vitamin C, or a Peter Thomas Roth mask (Cucumber, Irish Mud or Pumpkin Enzyme). For showers i use a cold process soap I made, or a soap from Urban Whip. Lately I've been using Avene Body Oil. What do the rest of you use? Last edited by KD1980; Nov 28, 2018 at 10:21 AM.. |

I use the Jeju volcanic lava foam scrub from The FaceShop.
Honestly, I am TERRIBLE at skincare - I go to sleep with makeup on a lot and the only things I put on my face are toner and serum after if I do wash my face... And I wonder why I get blemishes How long does it take you to do all that? Don't you wear makeup during the day since you can put sheet masks on? __________________ |

It sounds very labor intensive in the written word, but it takes me less than 10 minutes to do most of it. The only thing is, I have to wait about 20 minutes to put on face cream after using a serum. Other than that, I have learned to do it fast. I work at home, so many days I don't wear makeup. I usually pick a day when I'm at home to use a sheet mask or treatment. On very bad mental health days, I use Bioderma micellular water on a cotton pad to remove my makeup. |

For blemishes, I use Pink Grapefruit Foaming Acne Scrub for breakouts and it is miraculous!! I am 61 and my skin still breaks out if I am not careful but that foam really helps me heal up quickly. It is almost overnight.
Other than that, I use Cetaphil facial soap and the lotion. But, my complexion is not flawless at all. I do what I can afford. __________________ "Love you. Take care of you. Be true to you. As long as it isn't breaking the bank, go to it. We sell at my work a wildly popular eye cream La Mer for $349 a teeny weeny small vial. Ridiculous. Boggles my mind. I say embrace one's aging. I've been grey since my early 40s. I'm 52 now with no wrinkles and my regimin has been nothing more than a wash with Ivory twice daily.

With me before I take my shower I use
Clinique scrub with a facial brush, astringent, then I put shimmer lights on my hair bc I frost. After my shower I put oil of Olay all over, do my feet heavy, put sox on, then astringent again, retinol-x anti aging moisturizer, then Infusium leave in treatment in my hair. This is my system, other than shaving, and my teeth. |

I'm easy. Splash some water on my face in the shower and walk out with baby smooth skin...LOL!
I don't wear makeup often, but when I do, I use cold cream and then splash water on my face in the shower afterwards. Once in a while, I'll pamper myself with a charcoal scrub face masque followed by a cooling cucumber peel off mask. Yup, easy peasy. |

Wow! Some of you really go all out!!
I am 44, people think I’m in my late 20s or early 30s. I’ve never used anything more than straight water on my face. I also don’t wear make-up. I think I’m hugely lucky that I don’t need a skin care regimen. I just can’t imagine spending that much time or energy on it (I’m not in any way judging any of you - I get that it’s a thing. Just not something I could ever do). |

I do wash nightly with an exfoliating face wash. I do wash off masks a couple of times a week. I don't like nightime moisturizers because I find my skin gets oily with them. I do have combo skin. I'll use a toner, serum, moisturizer most mornings or just a quick moisturizer.
I love the Lancome bifocal eye make up remover btw. As I do wear a hint of eyeliner and mascara. Sometimes a little eye shadow but prefer it simple with my super early mornings. Some concealer-I'm trying to see if this new one will actually cover my allergy look under my eyes. I don't get puffy or anything just darkness which makes it look like I'm not rested which I probably am not on top of it. I mean my sons even have the allergy shiners so it seems more hereditary than anything. A nightime routine coincides with teeth brushing and finishing dishes end of night things. Multitasking pretty much. |

I may have great skin but it is heavily freckled. Genetics I suppose. My doctor has said they are on account of 30+ years of birth control. Now I have attempted to cover up the freckles and spots with heavier matte foundation but the experience was unpleasant. It felt as though my face wasn't breathing. I use a water based light weight foundation instead to at least even out the natural colours and tones of my face but essentially it is practically see-through. Light on the blush and just a hint of eye makeup. I admit though to rather heavy eyeliner and mascara. Again just water and Ivory soap. No creams or lotions. I am today 52. Most people are surprised when I tell them I have a child in their early 30s. I have been told by many that I look ten years younger. I don't wish to bash those of you who do have a regimen. It is your choice. But I do want to make an observation here based on what I see go out of my workplace in grocery carts. It would appear that it is the uber young who spend the most on creams and serums. Those in their 30s-late 40s I don't see much in the way of skincare products. Then we come to the ladies in their 60s and 70s who seem to spend near as much as the young women. I kind of feel sorry for them with the wonder that they truly think these products are going to roll back time. One just has to observe advertising to see these products are marketed towards the younger generation which I feel is rather sad. Just my observation and personal choice though ladies. Again, do what your feel is best just don't prioritise it over other things in your life. |

I wash my face in the shower.....no make-up ever. I have had too many allergic reactions & swollen shut eyes from trying different (even allergy free) makeups when young. I don't wish to waste my time or money of any of that when soap & water works just as well for me. My priorities at my age are NOT on looks.....but just finding time to take care of everything in my life & have money to cover expenses. Doesn't leave extra & I don't miss anything I have to really mess around with. I need simple & easy at this point in life.
I will come back & haunt any funeral place that piles on makeup to make me not look like myself....but in reality that will NOT be an issue....it is just something I have noticed they do at every funeral I have gone to this year. I just like REAL natural. __________________ Leo's favorite place was in the passenger seat of my truck. We went everywhere together like this. New products: I'm currently trying the Farmacy Honeymoon AHA serum, Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic +Retinol Eye Serum and Kiehl's Creamy Avocado eye cream. I like them so far. I just bought Drunk Elephant Night Serum and once the Farmacy serum is done I'm using that.
Are any of you trying anything new? |

I use rolled oats soaked in spring water for a facial and body exfoliate, followed by a spritzy spring water refresher, and then for my face use a deep moisturizer by Clarins. For shower I use L'Occitane Verbena shower gel, and for my feet their lovely Lavender Foot Balm. Alternatively I'm rather partial to Acqua Di Parma hair shampoo, and their lovely soap if I'm up for a bath wallow.

I’m currently using mostly Korean brands I like them because I feel they are gentle for my skin, maybe because I’m Asian too eventhough I’m not Korean.
Face soap, face toner, face oil, and face cream from Some By Mi. Clay mask and sheet masks from Innisfree. Sleeping mask, sleeping lip mask, and eye serum from Laneige. Son & Park makeup remover. The saem aloe vera gel. (Another) sheet masks from the face shop. Pimple patch from Cosrx. Face scrub, rose water face mist, and cleansing milk from a local brand. Lip balm and cuticle cream from Burt’s Bees. Hand cream from Philosophy. Body lotion and body scrub from local brand. I don’t use all of them everyday. I switch them depends on what my skin needs at the moment (and depends on the level of my laziness). I’m 32 and if I want to age like a fine wine I better take care of my skin. I’ve been doing skincare since I was a teen (thanks Mom!) though the products keep changing. Not sure if keeps changing products is good but I guess it’s better than nothing __________________ One day I’ll leave my 6 flowers

Currently using retin A every other day the first two weeks since it dries out your skin, and my skin will peel at first. It’s a prescription and Target sells it over the counter at lower strength. In the past as a teenager had acne pretty bad so used accutane medication and it’s so great at clearing up your skin. Then used retin A in my 20’s, but my skin was breaking out pretty bad. Have had chemical peels or it’s laser resurfacing to help acne, wrinkles. Just wear tinted moisturizer on my face and moisturizer with spf sunscreen on my neck, sometimes eye liner and lipgloss.
