I thought it might help to hear positive stories that are coming out of the corona outbreak.

Brad Paisley, country artist, and his wife run a grocery store in Tennessee that does not charge customers. The point is to make quality food available to low income folks. He just announced th hey will make deliveries to the elderly.

Then there's the story making the rounds of the young woman who heard someone shouting at her in the grocery store parking lot. It was a couple in their 80s who were afraid to go in the store. They asked if she would do their shopping for them. They gave her their list and money. She got their groceries, put them in their trunk and returned their change.

What acts of kindness have you heard about or had done for you or did for someone else?

The people of Italy singing or playing music from their balconies. Then there's the low life stockpiling or worse, stealing from elderly and vulnerable by offering to shop for them and pocketing the money. First reported in Camden, London.

Amusingly and I'll apologise in advance for offending anyone, there's plenty of jokes on social media on the situation. One that's appeared is a letter on official looking paper from Italian regional police. The letter states that all

I love how the people in Spain and Italy have shown their support for each other through all the videos online.

Keith Urban, another country artist, had to cancel his concert. To try to make it up to his fans he provided a solo performance online.

Yoyo Ma(sp?) is providing free online videos for people and encouraging others to post their own videos.

CNN has a video of different people/places doing positive things for others.

Thanks, liz, for starting this thread. I'm finding that doctors' offices aren't threatening to send me a bill for late-cancelled appointments. My gynecologists' office called ME to tell me they're cancelling appointments for awhile.

And I'm really enjoying getting a lot of books read and lounging in bed, being the slug I often am.

I think I'm going to sit out on my porch later today and look at the blossoming flowers.

It snowed last night. Maybe not great news but it is pretty and it won't last.

Hey I'm looking for good news! Oh museums around the world are offering tours!

Hypothetical good news: Manufacturers of scented personal-care products will soon report increased sales due to the new social-distancing recommendations. Consumers will start using more to make sure they smell nice even from farther away.

There has been no comment yet from garlic growers.

This is related to the coronavirus but good news at the same time. From the US.

(Don't try to press the play button. It's not a video. )

Good news during corona outbreak

"Friends of a 12-year-old birthday girl from Minnesota found a way to celebrate - at a distance."

Yeah they just had a video on the news of a husband playing the guitar outside his wife nursing home and singing in the rain. That seems to be the new big thing.

There are so many great videos online of Italian and Spanish musicians and singers serenading their neighbors during their social isolation.

Psychologists urge us to try and lift our heads and seek out positives in times of crisis. It helps us in so many ways, physically and mentally. It's also....dahdahdadahhhh!...BETTER for our immune systems!

Stay beautiful, peeps.

Lol....my horse, dog, & cat don't care whst I smell like as long as I feed them. But I care.

I am actually enjoying my uninterrupted time to work on my farm & relax. I just need less rain so I can get more done.

Our schools are driving lunches around to thd families in need. Making good use of the school busses.

I live in a very friendly part of the country & when out getting necessities like carrots & apples for my horse, people do stop & chat. We keep distance but the same friendliness that existed before continues.

Our community does keep in touch with each other via social media & phone...of course we did that anyway between social activities. Everyone checks in on each other while everything is closed to see if anything is needed.
