The Earth happened to be at the right distance from the sun to be warm and have liquid water where life has started, with the right mass and composition to have enough gravity to pull objects but to allow free movement, and a moon at the right distance and mass to keep the rotation of Earth relatively stable (there is a theory states that the moon was created by a collision happened early on with another planet called Thea, that has made the Earth to spin around itself, which allowed different parts of Earth to be exposed to the sun equally, unlike other planets). All of this happened towards the edge of a galaxy, between two spiral arms where there are relatively no cosmic actions and radiations.
So far you have the suitable conditions to start a life. The early life forms in deep oceans emitted Oxygen, that created the Ozone layer, which prevented harmful radiations to reach the Earth surface, and allowed life to move to land at some point later after evolving through a series of natural selection chains that eventually have produced intelligent life forms. Humans could have easily not existed had the natural conditions that pressured existing species to evolve in another direction. To go through all of this on the right order and on the right time is extremely unlikely, although the vastness of the universe could counteract this unlikeliness. Now suppose an intelligent life had evolved somewhere in the universe somehow, how would we reach them or they reach us? The Milky Way (our galaxy) is an average-sized galaxy, with a diameter of about 100 000 light years and 1000 light years thick. To scan the Milky Way for life alone you would need roughly 100 000 years by transmitting radio waves at the speed of light in all directions (assuming you have the technology to transmit RF signals that travel that far without fading away. Obviously, travelling at the speed of light is far from feasible now if ever), and for them to have the right technology to detect our signals and transmit signals back to us (this means that if they are only 100 light years away, it would take 200 years to know if they exist!!). Now if you start the search outside the Milky Way, the numbers become ridiculous. So, my answer is it's unlikely, but we will likely never know. |

I don't watch movies. They're too long.

Well...at the time I had no preconceived notions about aliens. There was no reference to them in my life (as far as I knew). I was a little girl and I was being tickled, dream or not. Now, if that happened TODAY...it may or may not turn out well for either of us. LOL!! __________________ I go about my own business, and keep my mind on myself and my life. Every unknown sighting is called UFO which stands for Unknown Flying Object. This video is probably not even real because the object doesn't fly steadily, and it's very short that it lacks context. A more convincing object would be Oumuamua that came from another solar system and entered ours in 2017. A Harvard professor thinks it's a spaceship, but he has been widely criticized in the scientific community for making such a conclusion without considering other natural explanations thoroughly first.

It was video taped in Mexico City in 1997 and witnessed separately by several people who were almost directly beneath it. The original tape is of longer duration but has been cropped to make a gif. Also the original tape has been scrutinized over the years by film and special effects people who say, whatever the object is, it's actually there. Many other separate flying saucer witnesses have said the objects they witnessed appeared to wobble as well, so things aren't always how you think they should be. Yes, you're right, the ʻOumuamua object certainly caused a stir too. |

Come on. It's obviously a hoax. A helicopter doesn't wobble that much. If aliens managed to fly all this distance to reach us, at least I expect them to be technologically advanced to invent something more stable to fly in such low altitude. There is a difference between believing in a form of life in the universe which is possible but unlikely in my opinion, and between seeing what you want to see. I believe that all UFO people who claim that they saw aliens are just hallucinating, or trying to fake things to conform to their beliefs.

Really? Even with multiple witnesses having the same hallucination and the object being tracked by air and ground radar as well? Including the air force sending up interceptors? Hmmm. Okee dokee.
