Do you think man buns are attractive or trashy?

I'm curious because I cannot stand man buns. In my personal taste, I'm absolutely turned on by men with long hair but hate to see that long hair constrained by an atrocious bun. It looks awful to see a man with a bun.

Hm, another question...do you like men with long hair?

Not many men can pull off long hair but I go gaga over guys who can. So maybe I'm weird to say I like it when guys have long hair but not in a bun, who knows.

You like what you like and don't like what you don't like. That's your opinion.
I've had long hair, short hair, and in-between.
I buzz it super short for my own conveniences.
I actually will notice a woman with shorter hair first, and it usually is a huge attention getter for me, but if she's got long hair put up or whatever, it's fine.
I suppose my point is this. It's all preference.

I think man buns are cute when they're done correctly. I love long hair on men in general, especially if paired with facial hair.
I have really short hair myself and I think it's attractive when a guy has longer hair than me tbh.

Depends on the guy. Have seen some guys who can rock the man bun. Others? Meh.

Same with long hair. I like long hair on some guys. Others, nah. My hubby's hair was half way down his back when we met. I loved it. Then there's the VP where i work with thin, strangely hair almost to his waist. Add the fact he's going bald up to and he looks stupid.

I dont find it good or bad. But my son is 23 and the minute I see a man bun its usually accompanied by a beard, flannel and pabst blue ribbon. Its either that or craft beer. Hipsters.....

Yeah, I understand that it's a personal opinion. That's why I'm asking what people's preferences are.

It's interesting that you say you've done all kinds of hair styles. My best friends say I can pull off long or short hair (they've seen me with both), but they say that I particularly look good with short hair even though guys I've talked to including my brother say they prefer girls with long hair. But I've been growing my hair out for months because I've done short hair since I was 14 and I'm sick of it. I miss being able to have long flowing hair and braid it or put it in a bun or a ponytail and do crazy color with it that doesn't always look good on short hair.

I prefer either it depends on the personality for me. me myself just got a pixie because I can't stand the feel of hair on my neck. I am also a woman and wish I could have long hair but I end up going short every time it starts getting longer. that's because it stops at a shorter length and wont grow any further.

Pixie bobs are the thing!
I say let the wearer decide what they like, just as I decided to keep it buzzed. If you don't like whatever, don't date them. If it doesn't matter, cool too.

My brother in law sometimes wears his hair in a man bun. It doesn’t bother me what people do to their hair. I get a lot of crap because I wear my hair super short and I’m a young women.

Liz said my thoughts on this better than I could. It depends on the individual. what really creeps me out is guys that gel their hair, it's too long so they glue it with gel. That and men who do comb overs, yech.

Thanks for making me laugh—I thought you meant men’s tushes LOLLOL. So funny.
I love a beautiful male bottom-if the guy is in shape it can be a thing of beauty. I am thinking of one in particular right now.Too bad its in Iraq right now and he will retire many states away. Life’s little pleasures!

My "one in particular" has buns of steel...and on occasion sports the man bun. So it's like mixed signals in my love hormones.

I remember seeing Wind in His Hair on Dances with Wolves when the movie came out in theaters. Omg, I GASPED out loud!!! He was just gorgeous with that breathtaking long dark hair.

Having had both long hair and short hair in my life, if somebody needs to put their hair up in a bun, that is ok by me. Including proper hygiene, of course.

Whatever works, baby!
