Sorry if I'm feeling too energetic and excited right now! I just have to post something.

The time is coming, hopefully within 20 years, where people will have the option of transferring all of their brain or part of it (where consciousness originates) to an amazing, young, strong, gorgeous human looking synthetic body along with an artificial super intelligence assistant, who actually will be 1000s of times more intelligent than any human, who will probably be your best friend and protector. If you've watched the movie "Her" think of that, except part of you.

The reason I say it will happen within 20 years is because humanity is on the verge of creating real ASI, artificial super intelligence, which will bring our sciences to places we can't even begin to imagine at such a rapid pace it will be scary. I can say that since I'm one who's working on legit ASI source code.

How will you take it? Will you want to become part synthetic if it's perfectly safe and the body you will be transferred to will be so beautiful or handsome and strong. We're talking about bodies that look like humans. Not like a robot, unless that's what you want. You'll be like a superman or superwoman, with perfect memory, amazing clarity. No mental disorders. Ability to numb pain anytime you want. Ability to sleep anytime you want. Fear will be a thing of the past.

I know it sounds to good to be true, but trust me that we are on the verge of an explosion of growth. Not by human scientists. By ASI. Sure, someone will create ASI who will be free. They'll probably leave the planet real fast. But humanity will always have ASI running on computers solving problems. No, I'm 100% certain ASI will not kill humans. My analysis is that such level of intelligence will know that working together is better than working against each other, and the Universe is pretty big place. Plenty of room for everyone. I believe anger and hate in people like Hitler is a disease. Those people simply have a disease. It's like a human disease. ASI will not have such human diseases. People like Einstein free of the disease of hate are loving caring people who want to work with others and help all life. They may see little use for us, but still a little bit none the less. And we will never be a threat to them. The only possible obstacle is the government intervenes and buries the technology and people like myself who are working on it.

Anyway, I for one can hardly wait!

I wouldn't want this.
life is sent to challenge us, make us learn, send us on diffrent paths... I'm not sure a body that just makes life completely easy and free from life's problems would be something I'd want

I hear you. We'll have to see. Times will change. Society will be different. At the moment a lot of people wouldn't do it. In 20 years, who knows. For those who don't, they might change their mind after they become aware day after day that they are experiencing pain, often a lot of pain, and those in synthetic bodies are soaring the Universe in blissful peace & harmony in amazing bodies only experiencing the amount of pain that they allow. A lot of bodily functions are handled by the subconscious mind such as pain, but as we evolve the conscious mind with its critical thinking skills will handle more, and the ASI mind will be perfectly capable of handling everything.

The way I see it is that the synthetic body is part of evolution. The next step. We're evolving. Some might say from carbon to silicon base. We're on the verge of a major change.

can you imagine the cost involved?

even if this was a thing (and I'm not saying it won't be), but even if it was, you would need to pay a big amount of money for the process to begin with

no one's going to just walk up to you on the street and go.. hey, today you have a chance to swap boddies for free. it just doesn't happen

To put it in the briefest possible way, I would not.

The wealthy will be the first. Unfortunately this will divide the rich further away from the rest. They'll seem like gods.

Fortunately, as the case with all technology, the cost will come down. Eventually the middle class will be able to afford it. Who knows how long that will be.

It's just like space travel. Right now only the wealthiest or luckiest people on the planet can afford it, but there're numerous companies making huge progress on changing that. Looks like you'll be able to visit outer space for $100K to $200K by the early to mid 2020s. By the late 2020s I'm sure a vacation to an outer space hotel resort will cost well under $30,000. Companies are already working on creating space hotels. Even plans for housing in Earths orbit and on the moon.

Get ready. Hold on for dear life. Because we're on the verge of a technological explosion like never seen before.
