are you heavily influenced by what people are doing or by decisions
not me. I like to find my own things I enjoy and my own ideas as a child, for example, litirally everything around me (even though you were unpopular if you didn't like it) I didn't like and it's stayed with me now |

I'm not really influenced by others, well not unless I am asking for their suggestions and advice. Then if I like what they say I may consider it.
I'm not really a follower.I'm not a leader either,I just follow my own path I guess. |

I like finding my own things. I am not at all a follower. Pretty much all of the TV shows and current music and other things I like I’ve discovered by total accident. It bugs me when I see people copying others (but especially my own) opinions and the way people dress. It’s like find your own style, values, and sense of self.

I'm pretty tough to influence. But if someone explains a point of view to me patiently and well, there is a good chance I will give them the attention they deserve. And I will definitely consider their point of view.

Too independent to be influenced about anything. I take information in & process it & decide if I agree on the overall big picture or not of what the information is about. Have always been like that.....nothing taught....just always the way I thought through things

Being raised by a controlling, manipulative narcissistic psychopath mother, it has taken me ages of my life to break free from that enmeshment, figure out and settle into my style.

When I am influenced I am typically not aware of it, so it is not easily possible to say how strongly I am influenced.
Also, I think I am a follower. But I am a bad follower, who loiters and hesitates and stops following in order to argue, and so I lose my leaders, and become lost. Maybe in my heart I am a leader, but was early influenced into underrating my leadership potential by competing leaders with better politics or stronger arms. |

No, I'm not easily swayed by the pull of the crowd.
I'd perhaps be considered leadership worthy if I were type A and not more of a live and let live 'Mainer' mindset. ?? Not to say that I don't lead in a pinch nor that I haven't reached supervisory/management levels in the workforce including in mindset. Certainly not going with the crowd leads to a bit of ostracism, yet, that leads to finding one's own tribe/people/like minded others. So there's that. |

When I was younger, I was definitely heavily influenced. I didn't have my own identity.
As I got older, I developed more of a resistance, but even so, I'm self aware enough to know that it I'm not careful I can be influenced by my environment. |

I'd like to think I'm not easily influenced, but when I drive by the Thai restaurant near my house, the smell makes me want Thai food.

When my friend wants one thing and I another, I accept her suggestion but add a little hesitation to my tone. That is usually enough to skip her over to my suggestion. Like that is what SHE wanted... Yup I'm horrible. But so is she. We have a great friendship despite this.
When it comes to small things, I let others decide. I only speak up if it is really unacceptable to me. Small choices are chores and I don't like chores. About big things in my life, I usually basically never change my mind unless I realize someone has a brilliant idea. __________________ |
