I just moved to a new area, and there are all these new restaurants and food stands, etc., that I'm slowly making my way through.

So what place do you want to try next and what do they serve there?

Top on my list right now is a handmade ice cream sandwich shop, the ramen noodle house, and this place called Mod Pizza.

But I also like to cook so it takes me about two weeks to try a new place, lolz.

Is there a restaurant or new recipe or treat you want to try?

I just first time ever went to Milestones. Funny it was the restaurant that my sister worked for several years as supervisor waitress & bartender.

But the next on my agenda to try is:

1. La trattoria (1 block away from house)
2. Cactus Club
3. Chopped Leaf
4. Freshii
5. Bella Vita (high end restaurant in town known for cooking an excellent rack of lamb)
6. Taco del Mar

I know there is one more restaurant I was thinking of but I cannot for the life of me remember what it was.

I prefer independent rather than chain restaurants. In fact, I try to stay away from franchises altogether. I've had far more luck finding great food among the independent businesses . There is a Mongolian BBQ not far I've been meaning to try. I live nearby a Serbian club too which I have often been curious about. Around the corner from that is a Shwarma and Hooka club. And of course, I am game for pretty much any pub grub.

We just moved to a new area too. We've tried a few places so far. Next on my list is a taco place called Agave. Also, there's a restaurant called La Cabaña that serves traditional Chilean food that looks interesting.

My husband and I tried a new French restaurant a few towns away for my birthday. The food was not particularly good. We'll go to a place we've been to and really liked for our anniversary next week.

One place I'd like to try is a new Vietnamese restaurant nearby. I really like Vietnamese food and it's the only one around. Trouble is that my husband is picky and allergic to garlic. That's always problematic. I could go by myself, but it isn't the type of place people usually go solo, though many others are. I used to go to a Vietnamese restaurant in Berkeley, CA, but that was less fancy and a lot cheaper. Very few restaurants are cheap in my area.

I also want to try Long John Silvers. The funny thing is there’s one 20 minutes from my house but I only think of it when I pass it and I rarely drive in that direction. When I do pass by it I’m never hungry. I think I’ve been meaning to try it for about 5 years now.

There was an awesome French restaurant in Canyon Country area called Le Chene. No idea if it is still there or not. Was my favorite So Calif restaurant. There was a Chocolate shop in Beverly Hills called Krone Chocolatier. Oh my gosh their chocolate covered strawberries.

Here in Ky.....I don't go out much BUT there is a Cuban restaurant in Lexington I would love to try. There is a casual restaurant called Gumbo Ya Ya that gives samples so you can decide what to order.

We moved a year and a half ago to a new city and there are still restaurants I haven't tried. I especially want to try Nino's, a fancy Italian place.

On my drive through downtown last night we took note of a new Ethiopian restaurant. We've made a mental note to make a point of going there sometime soon. Ethiopian is amazing food. A lot of curry but warmish rather than eye bleeding hot. There are no knives and forks; rather, they serve giant pancake like rolls of flat bread you tear off and use to dip into the food. It is quite the experience if you ever get the opportunity which I recommend. And, if you are lucky enough, they might even have a coffee ceremony to participate in.

In N Out is definitely legendary.

Jack in the Box, well, it's fast food but I will say that some of their over-the-top burgers, while they will definitely stop your heart, you could do once in a lifetime and not regret it.

All the places in my neighborhood are independent, not chains. I prefer independent too. Chains you can get anywhere, right?

Taco places are the best! There are so many different takes on taco stands here; I keep trying new takes on the taco. I love them all!

I haven't heard of Nandos. Is that specific to your region?

I love Vietnamese food. When I lived in the middle of nowhere there was oddly this family owned Vietnamese place that I would go to at least once a week. It was so incredible. Especially Pho on cold rainy days!

There are so many restaurants here it is crazy. I'm just like, it will take me 10 years to get through them all, unless I eat every meal out, and who can afford that?
