Did you ever make one? Or do you know any good stories of someone else making one?
When I was 11 in 2003 or 2004 I called one of my sisters friends. His little sister answered the phone and I said “7 days” and hung up. I also knew a group of kids in elementary school who would go to the public library and make prank calls to 911 from the pay phone. Good times. __________________ Ridin' with Biden |

800 numbers used to be free from pay phones, might still be, dunno. Those were great fun. Not only could I waste their time, I could have inappropriate things sent to people I wanted to mess with. "Call tenex for a sample." "Call to arrange an in home demonstration today." Etc etc etc... Kirby salespeople would always show up and harass the entire street for one house. Beautiful to watch.

I was a terrible prank caller. One time I called this lady and just had a random conversation with her while she was on the toilet. I don't remember what we talked about but I remember asking what color her carpet was. haha.

Back in the days before caller ID there was also this neat thing called COD-cash on delivery. It was in the 80's and infomercials hadnt taken off yet. Three things happened. There was a Santa hotline that was like the old 900 numbers and you could call and get a message from Santa. I ran the phone bill up by like 30$ and my mom was mad. Then I saw these mens and ladies watched from Seiko with a "real diamond" chip in them. They were only 19.95$ COD- I ordered them for my mother for Christmas when I was like 11- luckily she refused delivery. The last time I messed with the phone I ordered a delux record/tape set of "Boxcar Willie" and had it shipped to my friends house as a joke. I do not even know who that is and have never listened to his music but saw it on TV. She asked me about it and her Dad was mad but to this day I have never fessed up.
Does anyone remember emergency breakthroughs? When the line was busy at your friends' number you could dial zero and ask the operator to break into a call and inform the party that there was an emergency and they had to get off the phone? Us kids abused that. I also remember three way calling and talking about my friend with a boy so she could hear. Those were the days.... __________________ "I carried a watermelon?" I remember racking up a friends phone bill making prank calls to 411.
This lady said one time “honey, stop playing on the phone.” __________________ Ridin' with Biden |

Long time ago, called "before you dig" to come out and mark a neighbor's driveway and yard. He was very meticulous about those things to the point of running a leaf blower at both dawn and dusk. He lost his mind over it and someone called an ambulance for him. Not always good to mess with people.
