8/10 - I made homemade pizza (a white pizza with herbs, ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses, arugula, prosciutto, and balsamic vinegar drizzle. It was good, but I wasn't as happy with my homemade crust as I have in the past. The dough didn't rise sufficiently. Plus, even though it was on the table, I forgot to add the balsamic drizzle. I was kind of wondering what was missing. The balsamic really tops it off well.
Yeast raised dough is something I've improved in making over the years, but I still have flubs, occasionally. |

I decided to wait on my birth control last night and I was completely satisfied with one can of Campbell’s chicken noodle soup. Usually I eat the entire kitchen at night. 8/10.

2/10 - Greek salad. That rolled green stuff was nasty. How do people eat that?

I found a single serve container of instant mashed potatoes in the cupboard. I didn’t really feel like anything but they were at least good. 7/10.

8.5/10 - I made fresh yellow fin tuna steaks seared with Tuxedo sesame seed mix. I will use a different dipping sauce next time. I had wasabi, but didn't use it. It would have been good to. With it I had Jasmine rice, mixed veggies, and sliced tomatoes and half of a beer. For dessert, hubby and I shared a creme brulee that I made. The creme brulee was good, but not quite as good as my usual recipe. I used vanilla bean and half and half in it instead of almond extract and heavy cream.

I didn’t actually eat dinner tonight. I actually haven’t eaten since 1:30 this afternoon. Which is super unusual for me. Usually the earliest I stop eating is around 4. I’m not totally sure what’s going on.

8.5/10 - Hubby had a dinner date with a friend tonight, so I decided to order Indian food, which we rarely have because of hubby's garlic allergy. Right before I got the food, hubby showed up home early, before his dinner date. Of course he sat coveting my Indian food, like a dog would do sitting by a table watching an owner eat a t-bone steak, or a cat if salmon was served. I said "You're sitting there jealous, aren't you?"
"Yes, very!" was his predictable response. So, hubby got to eat half of my naan bread, which I very lovingly spared. [I really like naan bread and wished I had it all to myself!] And, I gave him two forkfuls of my chicken korma curry on Basmati rice. Garlic in it? Probably, but his temptation was too big. |
