8/10 or maybe 7.5/10 - My dinner was supposed to be a saute of veggies and chicken Italian sausage over polenta, with cheeses, but the fried polenta didn't work out. I had to quickly boil some pasta. It was fine. I added some doctored up tomato sauce at the last minute, adding some olives and herbs.

9.5/10 - Not 10/10 only because they were leftovers from a marvelous authentic Szechuan food lunch, where the food is at its best freshly served. I love that restaurant! It's the only authentic Chinese restaurant in my area. Being mostly Szechuan cuisine, most dishes are spicy. That cleared my sinuses and seemed to eat away at my indigestion.

9/10 - I defrosted and broiled some grilled specially spiced chicken wings with outstanding Buffalo hot sauce. They were purchased at the best Buffalo wings joint, probably in my whole state. The grill flavor is marvelous, as is the hot sauce. Because they are grilled, they are less fatty than most wings. Served with a variety of raw veggies and some toast. For lunch yesterday, I made chicken fajitas with lots of peppers and onions. They were 9/10, too.

I had a No Name pecan chicken breast, a bag of steamed broccoli with seasoning on it, and a piece of Hawaiian bread. It was pretty good. 8/10.

9/10 - I made a dish called "Belgian Endives au Gratin". It's basically poached and drained Belgian Endives with sliced deli roasted ham wrapped around them, and then baked topped with a lowered fat Swiss cheese sauce (milk Bechamel with sauteed onions, Jarlsberg Swiss cheese, white and Cayenne pepper). I am trying to lower my carbs a little, so I ate it with steamed cauliflower instead of potato. It's yummy! I also made steamed sugar snap peas, had a few grape tomatoes, and a small glass of Pinot Grigio wine. It could be made vegetarian simply by omitting the ham slice. The ham slice really is yummy, but it would still be yummy without the ham.
