I haven't even hit my early 20's yet, yet I am told I look like a dad of two kids (30+) probably because I have a form of squint, and I have high levels of testosterone.. I wonder what reaction you get when you tell your age, when people ask? If at all, of course.

I get that. I suppose if I continue to look younger when I get older I will be really happy. As for right now I look like my friends little sister.

I'm in my late 40s, but I have had many people say they thought I was still in my late 30s. I think at least some really meant it. Perhaps some were just trying to make me feel good, thinking that that's what I wanted to hear. Truth is, I sometimes look younger or older depending on my mood, hairstyle, weight, and other factors. I never had children. Being childless can sometimes affect people's perception of a person's age. Also, my husband is almost 14 years older than me. Perhaps that makes some people assume I'm older or the opposite.
How old do I feel? I feel like I'm in my late 30s. That maybe helps make me seem younger. |

I imagine quite young, as a lot of people ask me what I'm currently studying in colledge (which gets annoying)
I feel old though. a lot older than I am |

I'm 50 and about 6 months ago decided to stop colouring my hair, so I have a fair bit of grey. But I don't have any wrinkles. Most people tell me I look like I'm in my 40's still.
BUT I think I must look older or infirm or something, since people frequently give me a seat on subways and buses. splitimage |

I’m 26 and I get mistaken as a high schooler a lot. I’ve been told I don’t look old enough to vote too.

I'm 36. I have no idea how old I look. Probably 70 (Kidding. Maybe).

Well I am 52 and my looks are catching up. People are still shocked that I am this age especially when I tell them I have a 32 and a 27 year old. When I was in my 40s I got mistaken for being a great deal younger than I was. I think though it was that I was super outdoors woman at the time. I mountain climbed, hiked, kayaked, back country camped regularly and so on. I also had some pretty funky hair colour - long before it became fashionable for mature women to do so. But now my lifestyle is different. I am not the active person I once was. The funky hair doesn't stand out like it did. Nor do tattoos on an older woman anymore. I still apparently look younger but the gap isn't what it was. Am I bothered? Not so much. It isn't so sad. I've earned every grey that is hiding beneath this Feria #41, haha.

I would look a whole lot younger if my neck hadn't collapsed.

I'm 52 and I'm not sure how old I look. I think I probably look my age - I've got gray hair (but I went gray prematurely) and my hair is getting awfully thin on top (hard to see unless I bend over, lol).
On the other hand, I think someone insinuated recently that I look like I could be in my 40's. __________________ My business is to teach my aspirations to conform themselves to fact, not to try and make facts harmonise with my aspirations. T.H. Huxley |

I am 44 and most people are surprised when I tell them but I am not good at guessing ages of my self. How old do I look?

I don't know. People have mistaken me for anything from 21-65. I guess a lot depends upon how I dress, do my hair, if I have a beard etc.

Yeah, I guess how people perceive your age really depends on factors like dressing, hairstyle, etc. In my case, I am tall and overweight alongside my squint and levels of testosterone. This easily makes people think I am a lot older than I actually am.

I am 43 in about two weeks. Everyone that knows me thinks I am the oldest from my family when in fact I am the youngest. Not too bothered though as I am not terribly vain.

I am 53 and look like maybe I am in my 40s? I looked very young very long but I gained some weight and it somewhat aged me. I have no grey hair at all and no wrinkles on my face (some on my neck). I do have skin discoloration and age spots though so I think I’d look more my age if I didn’t wear make up. My hands look old though. If someone looks up close they’ll know my age. Not sure how to fix it except hiding my hands lol
Overall I am not matronly or old fashioned so to speak so that does make me look younger. My daughter often tells me she has coworkers my age and they look like they could be my mothers lol My daughter is 31 and she really looks like she is barely 20. |
