I have never in my life been as organized as I was these last couple of months, We decided to throw a sweet 16 for my Ella bean. I started planning 2 months prior and the party was last saturday. She had a rock n roll/80's theme and I did it all myself. I'd like to share some pictures. I came up with the idea of centerpieces made out of cassette tapes with fairy lights in the middle and balloons tied to them while placed on top of records. Here is what the centerpiece looked like:
 We had records fixed to the wall and because polaroids were a thing in the 80's Mark made a giant polaroid frame and we had goofy signs to hold up and small polaroid film to take pictures.  I got her dress on sale for a bargain:  Her entrance:  Record wall family pic  And here is a pic from her candlelighting ceremony  That was really beautiful. She called up friends and loved ones, picked out music for them and said some beautiful things and then that person would light a candle. Here is just a dancing pic  If you'll notice my other daughter came and is doing better. I had some stuff catered but cooked the rest. Imagine frying 40lbs of chicken for 50 people!
