Mac and cheese sounds awesome though the addition of grated Parmesan as a topping mixed with vintage cheddar using Jamie Oliver's recipe below. Do you like tomato ketchup? We're crazy for it when having mac 'n' cheese.

Always try to copy your message just in case, or write it in a note and then paste it to the forum. That happened to me too. Gosh, if we keep at this, I'll wanna open a comfort food thread. Jamie Oliver is great, he's got such amazing recipes. The last one I tried was a homemade bread recipe from him, turned out perfect. He really knows his measurements.

Speaking of mac and cheese, French onion soup is also great in fall . But now being lactose intolerant and vegan, I need cheese substitutes.

Take heart for there are quite a few vegan cheese substitutes that suggest are lactose-free and this from BBC Good Food may provide what product you need:

I love French onion soup, too. Delia Online has a splendid recipe, but try Elizabeth David as her cooking was quite remarkable andoriginal, but only using simple ingredients. Also two more: Jane Grigson and Leslie Forbes have wonderfully simple recipes just perfect for autumn, real comfort food that can be lactose-free.

Just gotta love that picture!
