Hi all, I'm very new here. I posted my first thread the other day (I'm dealing with something that is all consuming at the moment), and I've already received an overwhelming amount of support.

I'm looking for ways to distract myself right now, and I thought it would be great to get to know a little bit about you (if you're open to sharing!). Nothing too identity-revealing of course, but maybe gender, age, physical features, hobbies, etc. It would be nice to have an "image" in mind when I read all of your lovely posts.

I am a 66 year old female
Happily divorced.
One daughter from my marriage who is 40+ years old.
I bought my little 10 acre farm in Ky with woods & a stream, 2100 miles from where I lived all my life when I separated from my husband 12 years ago.

I have my horse, 2 american eskimo dogs (one is 18 1/2 & needs lots of care), a kitten that showed up on my farm in July & adopted (& now owns) the family.....an amazing little guy. I also have wild raccoons & possums that know me as "Food Lady". The mommy raccoon has been coming here for 3 years & brings her batch of babies every spring.

I ride horses, volunteer in the community, enjoy drawing & painting but spend most of my time maintaining & repairing things around my farm. Full time job for a single person

And PTSD from a serious road accident last spring which I am receiving treatment for.
I lost my parents around the same time.
Bereavement is awful. I doubt I shall ever get over their deaths.

about 1/2 gray, half brown, dark brown (almost black) eyes, 5'7
I'm trained as an accountant but have been on disability for the past 2 years after 10 years of part time contract work while I dealt with mental health and alcoholism. I'm now sober a year, and my mh is considerably better, so am hoping to get back to work part time sometime in the new year.
I live in a major urban centre and share a 2 bedroom apartment with a room mate and his cat.
