Hi all,

As you know, it was just International Sloth Day on Sunday. It's a big holiday for me, I start buying presents a few weeks out. Usually we just have it at my parent's house, and relatives come over and we eat too much and chat and exchange gifts. Some people go on a short holiday, but for us it's always been a family affair.

What did you do for International Sloth Day?

I never heard of it before now. That sounds like fun!

Maybe next year I will go out and enjoy nature.

And diligently nap.

First time I have heard about it. I will confess, that twice a month, I have a lazy day myself. Taking it nice and easy, while watching the world hurry by.

Interesting this Sloth Day, but I doubt the UK has this. But to have a pet sloth would be wonderful. Mind its claws, though!

I like Animal Adventure Park. I need to rejoin. I changed all my online stuff when I moved across states. Anyway, they show sloths there, apart from April the Giraffe and the other giraffes (Oliver, Tajiri, and Johari, I believe) in April's family.

One day, I want to take a trip to NY to see Animal Adventure Park and all their animals. They've got sloths! They even have sloth stuffies for sale. I might get one next month.

Hi @lillib
I'd love to see your sloth stuffie if you buy one. But I wish we had adventure parks in my country that didn't charge a hefty admission price, but be freely open to all and run by our government that should spend more on these places.

You're super-adventurous having overcome many difficulties in the past and I think you are a testament to great courage.

Thank you so much!

When they used to have chat for April the Giraffe, there was a lot of people from all around the world on there, some from the UK. I forgot if their website allows international purchases, but they might.

I'm not sure how to post pics on PC, but I'll find the directions and upload one when I get a sloth doll.

I'm hoping to quit smoking so that I can get a teddy bear, too.

Hi @lillib
Here's a tip about giving up smoking, which I managed although it's stll tough and tempting: If the laws of your country (US?) still allow vaping, try for a small vaping kit using Vegetable Gylcerine (VG) nicotine carrier instead of Propylene Glycol (PG) because the latter is a known throat irritant.

Or, buy an over-the-counter nicotine patch from a pharmacist store. A good product is Nicorette which comes either in derma-plasters or spray or lozenges. But if you get any of these, then you must cease smoking immediately lest you exceed your nicotine intake which can be dangerous. These give-up-smoking aids usually have a customer helpline / phone number if giving up gets tough.

Giving up smoking can be successful; cravings come, but go pretty quickly when we concentrate on other things.

To post a picture: you can either right-click your mouse over an image and choose 'copy image', being careful you're not breaching copyrightlaws and then paste (Ctrl+v) straight to your post.

Or, copy an image/picture to your computer (jpg. or png., and then when posting on the forum, attach an image straight from your PC. But how?

Choose Advance and see that yellow square icon above? The yellow square shows a mountain rain range. Click on it to attach your PC's image to your post. The image should show as a link, viewable only to registered members.

Alternatively, post a request at Community Feedback & Technical Support

Sorry, but I've got to go and moveto our apartment rental now. Good luck!

Good luck with your temporary move!

When you get back...

Vaping is banned in the USA, or at least in some parts. Because I seek care at the VA, I tend to abide by both Federal and State laws. Besides, I've also heard of some faulty batteries in vaping machines, which

in people's faces. Those stories were long before the vaping ban recently.

Anyway, I plan on using the patch. I also plan on calling the VA today to make an appointment for my primary care doc. I missed my first appointment, so I'll have to make sure I make this reschedule.

I'll check out the directions in a month or two, when I actually get the sloth doll.

Let us know how your move went.

Sorry your vaping is banned, but a patch should be okay. Let me know how you get on with it.

My daughter has a super teddy bear collection. I gave her my old lovely where it sits in prime location on the top of her bed.

We finally moved after rummaging around the local market for food and cow juice, and brought the lot to our new abode.

Our penthouse apartment is comfortably furnished with lots of space in its built-in wardrobes. Having three bathrooms and two ensuites is especially handy as you-know-who splashes around like a duck!

We have a wraparound balcony with good views of the sea, town and countryside from its open-plan lounge and conservatory. The property has a lockable double garage just big enough to accomodate our trucks. Internet is excellent. We aren't far from my place of work, another benefit not having to commute. Though it's rented for four months, I hope we can spend Christmas at home. I've lived there all my life. It would feel a wrench to be away from home during that seasonal time.

Sounds like you had a smooth move! I hope you'll be able to make it home for Christmas, too. I like how you used the phrase "cow juice." Too cute!
