I never realised this before, but the sound of distant thunder. I have a noise generator which produces this sound + 'Rain on a tent'. It is linked to this associated site.
mynoise.net rain.today The thunder in the first is soft-sounding, so is non-threatening and gentle rain. In the second link, white noise (adjustable levels) can be specially helpful for tinnitus, headaches or aiding sleep because the listener can adjust the sliders up or down like an equalizer to suit their hearing. Then very handy, its URL can be saved and bookmarked. Anything to help bring sleep is very, very welcome. Last edited by Anonymous42019; Nov 11, 2019 at 03:33 PM.. Reason: Links removed by me |

Music that creates delta waves at a very less volume.I completely focus on the music ,because the volume is very less it takes mindful focus,I slowly slip into sleep, but the running music does not disturb once I slept. It just plays in the background until it stops. If I happen to wake up in the middle of the night.I refocus on the music and successfully go back to sleep. It works for me.

It's probably been mentioned here already but - the sound of the waves lapping gently on the shore, on a lovely warm day at the beach. Very comforting, yes.

A violin playing a lovely tune in the night. I have heard that a couple of times.

Very welcome @Breaking Dawn. I'll try to think up some other good ones for you.
And thanks to @Access Denied, too, for making this heartwarming thread. Crickets chirping in the grass on a quiet summers night in the countryside. Moon shining down. |

I like to listen to thunderstorm sounds on Spotify. I have a playlist that is 15 hours long. That's pretty much what I listen to all day.

A little brook flowing into the countryside, birds, and the breeze. No cars, no city noises, nothing. Just nature.
