Is ghosting identity theft something not to worry about?

I was googling my family name and I came across my grandfathers name and it said he was 95 years old and lived in the area. The thing is he died in the 80’s when he was 63. I think this may be a case of ghosting identity theft. My mom is saying it’s no big deal since no one would be affected. I’m not sure though. I google my family name a lot and this is the first I’ve seen his name.

It not fun to be a victim of identity theft because I been a victim. Is your name a common name?

I think any kind of theft should be cause for concern. Or at least taken into consideration, yes.
