I slept through it all, awaking only briefly with fireworks. I was working early on New year's day and after that I tidied and cleaned which is my own NY tradition.

Happy 2020 everyone!

I ended up spending it with ‘the most interesting man in the world’!

We went to our friends house. They made a good steak dinner, and I brought salad. My friend bought these boba balls that were filled with vodka. I made a Thai iced tea and brought those big straws to suck up the balls. It made a really cool drink.

Their neighbors came over too. The man had a fascinating job and told stories of his being in the presence of ridiculously important, wealthy people. I didn’t think he was for real, but our friends swear he is. He lives in a fairly modest house which is his gf’s.

We all got pretty drunk and he told us wild stories. We laughed a lot.

It was the most fun New Year’s I’ve had in a long time.
