Does anyone have anything that they have experienced in the past that may have been unsettling or creepy that they would like to share. Like maybe you thought you saw a ghost or something strange or unexplained happened. Just for general curiosity and for fun.

I don’t mean anything that was violent or anything criminal. Just something that seemed eerie and unsettling but turned out to be nothing at all. I’ll share something that happened that was unsettling for me. I was a freshmen in college. One day I was walking on the indoor track suspended over the basketball court.

It was in the middle of the day but all the lights were off in the building, even though it was opened. In this case, it was semi dark inside. The only light was from the sun coming through the windows and doors. I was listening to music and while I was walking, I noticed a figure standing in the middle of the basketball court logo.

It was only a few seconds but I noticed it was facing my direction. It turned towards the doorway leading to the lower level hallway in a super quick but silent manner. I was confused at what I saw so I went over to the stairway leading to the gym. I didn’t hear anyone leave out the lower level exit or head to any other room and no one came upstairs.

I felt very creeped out and confused and I also no longer felt like I was alone in the building. Due to me feeling uncomfortable and that something was off, I calmly but quickly grabbed my bag and left the building. I returned later that day when there were other people around and when all the lights were on.

Looking back, I don’t know what I saw. Most likely it was some form of hallucination due to the lighting or someone actually was there which makes me wonder what they were doing. The only thing that makes it more strange and sad is that the location of where I saw the figure was the same location the basketball coach passed away just a few months prior.

At one point I wondered if I saw some sort of figure or apparition of him but I am not really sure. Most likely it was the trick of the light or there was actually someone there acting really strange. I never had anything like that happen to me before that seemed so real and eerie. It hasn’t happened since then either.

Only other thing I worried about was the possibility of it being an intruder which is also why I left quickly but there was not an intruder. Anything you would like to share that has made you feel uneasy or creeped out, but turned out to be nothing? Like I said, I don’t mean anything bad that happened, just something that seemed creepy or unexplained and made you question what you saw.

What you experienced could have been (as I'm sure you know) any one of the possibilities you've named.

I can't think of any odd experience I've had, though I know I've had some. Honestly, though, when I was reading your post my mind flashed to a dream I had some years ago about being alone in a large, multi-level gym. The lights were off; only the sunlight was coming through panels on the roof. Your experience reminded me of that dream. Go figure!

Yeah, it was most likely something I mentioned, just thought it was an odd experience. Oh wow, yeah that’s interesting! Yeah dreams can be very weird. Yeah my story does sound like something out of a dream and I actually once had a dream involved with the same gym I mentioned in here as well. The lights went out and everyone ran out. Nothing bad happened though. Really strange haha.

I dont know if this is creepy but whenever I dream of my dead grandmother and she talks to me, I share what she said with my mom or brother or husband because it usually comes true. I'm serious. Not come true like in a round about way but specifically comes true.

I was at work one time in the parking lot finishing breakfast and waiting to go in. I saw my coworker drive past. I thought “huh he must have the day off. I wonder what he’s doing driving past.” It looked exactly like him and was his same car and everything. I got into work a couple minutes later and there he was cleaning the floor even though I had just seen him drive past the store minutes earlier. I swear I experienced a glitch in the matrix.

Oh yeah that is always so weird when that happens. Yeah it was probably someone that looked exactly like him but yeah that does seem like a weird glitch or something.

Sometimes dreams do come true. I’ve had dreams that later came true so I can see why you would do that.

Woke up in the middle of the night one night and turned to my left and there was a young woman with long brown hair in a long white nightgown there. I was not manic or psychotic in the least at the time, was totally sober, etc. She was just standing there, then, a moment later, she was gone. Poof.

I have never had an interest in this sort of thing. Never watched the movies or anything. In fact, I have always sort of had a specific non-interest in that stuff. So, I had no idea. Did a little reading and it turns out a woman in a white dress is a not uncommonly seen thing--or so a lot of people have claimed.

No idea what this was. I'm a Christian, but to suggest that I think I know everything about everything would be an absolute joke and the height of arrogance.

I got hungry in the middle of the night (3am) & went downstairs into my kitchen. When I came back with my food, the headlights of my truck were on. They weren't on when I went into the kitchen. I hadn't driven my truck in 3 days. I parked it on my front yard right in front of my front door when I came home 3 days before. I made sure all my doors were locked, then went upstairs to see if I could see anyone from up there. The headlights stayed on & normally they shut off automatically after a short time. I thought maybe a short or that maybe someone had tried to steal my truck. I kept watching, then decided to call our local 911 because I really didn't want to go out & investigate all by myself. He was on another call & they said he would be about 30 min & to keep my doors locked & stay inside.

The sheriff arrived about 30 minutes after I called. He said as he was driving down the hill toward the creek by my house, the headlights were on but when he came up the hill on my side of the creek they had gone off. We walked around my truck & looked at the dew on the grass & on the truck & there was no sign that anyone had been around my truck. We talked about what might have caused it but nothing really made sense. I went back to bed (already ate my snack) & snuggled with my 2 white fluffy dogs in bed.

It was a total mystery UNTIL I noticed that my truck door popper was on my purse that was laying on my bed near where my dogs always laid. I decided to experiment hitting the emergency button on it. I knew how the door lock & unlock worked. Sure enough, it turned on the headlughts & they stayed on just like the night before. Guessing Leo must have landed on the emergency button after I went downstairs & that turned on the lights. Why the horn didn't honk may be from an earlier alarm system problem I had on the truck.....but after all the anxiety that put me through the night before at least I figured it out & it was a simple explanation.

I have a hunch when something bad is about to happen. I got the feeling this morning at 4AM. Now I just found out Kobe Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash.

Oh I have those experiences too. They are very common especially if you have a sleep disorder. From what I’ve been told, it is because you’re not completely awake. It can be very startling though.

Oh wow, yeah that is creepy and yeah too bad you didn’t realize the simple mistake sooner. It is better to be safe than sorry. Yeah I’ve has similar experiences where I think it’s serious but it turns out to be nothing. My story was most likely something very simple even though it seemed creepy.

I live alone out in the country & the vacant unfinished home on a few acres next to my farm had been broken into not too long before that. I know our sheriffs & have worked with a few of them including the head sheriff. They are good guys so they are my go to if there is anything I have my safety doubts about. Even with having a gun, I would still call them first then deal with the situation until they arrive. (Luckily that has never been a need)
