Omg what is everyone doing with their hair now?
If you are in the country or state that doesn’t have “shelter in place” , then maybe you salons open. Not here! Yesterday we ended up shaving my husbands head, at least he doesn’t look unkempt anymore. He was embarrassed how he look at work, scaring his patients lol And I don’t know how to cut hair!!! Well we can’t shave my head lol I don’t work now on a lock down so it’s not essential how I look, but my hair is too long! I need fresh highlights! I am tired tweaking my eye brows, I need waxing. What do you all do? Cut your own hair? Dye your hair yourself (many people dye it themselves anyways and thankfully I don’t have any grey hair so dyeing isn’t essential ), family members cut each other’s hair? You allow yourself to just look like whatever? |

Yeah I’ve been having that issue. Mine isn’t unbearable yet though. I was thinking of shaving it. Or having my mom just do what she can to it with scissors. It might look like crap but who’s going to see it.

Just imagine when you are able to get your haircut again. The salon is gonna be booked for 2 months or so since everyone is going to be wanting to get there hair cut. So it will still be another couple months before you can go. What a mess we are in.

Do you have clippers? That’s what we used. It turned out patchy on the back but better than it was!

I’m just guessing a couple months. I know mine usually is booked at least a week out during normal times. Just expect everything to have a delay for awhile after things get back to normal.
I’m not sure if the razor I have has clippers. Probably does. __________________ Ridin' with Biden |

You will have to fix your hair like my grandmas did - long braids wrapped around your head!

Haha I know exactly what you are talking about. my daughter actually had this hair do couple of times. It looks cute. Old country style. My hair is not that long, it’s medium length now, which is the worst!

I'm intentionally growing it out and got it past the true awkward stages so it's good to have no temptations to cut it. And it's working, my hair is much longer. I haven't dyed my hair in two years so that's not an issue either. I pluck my eyebrows, don't wax.
My mom knows how to cut hair so she cuts my dad's hair. And she only cuts her hair a couple times a year. I'm the hair fusser in my family, but now I've toned it down. |

Wow, my friend cuts my hair & I didn't get it trimmed before this all hit. I actually took my own scissors & did the layer thing so it would curl right & not cover my eyes. I can't do all my work in the barn with shaggy sheep dog hair. I actually like longer hair in the summer because I cat twist it up & clip it on top of my head. I hate sweaty hair around my neck.
As for everything else. I like my natural gray hair. My horse & my dogs don't care about all that other stuff & I have never had the time in my life to make any of that a priority. Probably a bit of rebellion too. My grandmother would always comment (nit pick) about eyebrows or some other trivial stuff about how people looked. Lol....since flipping her off wasn't an option, I just ignored her & blew off everything she complained about. Lol.....nature got even with her. She was continually dying her hair & using nail polish & back in those days there was no "allergy free" anything. She ended up getting sores on her hands. The MD'S then told her it was an reaction to all the chemicals she was using. She stopped & realized for her, natural was better too. I will stick with easy care. My animals take up my time & money.....I like it that way. I spend hours trying to groom the undercoat out of my dogs. I have bags of fur waiting to be made into yarn. Some peoples lives are just different, though it will be nice to get all my hair layered. I just can't do the back by myself __________________ Leo's favorite place was in the passenger seat of my truck. We went everywhere together like this. I've cut and colored my own hair for years so salons closed is not a big deal for me. I know it's a big deal for others though.

Yeah hair cut not as priority for women as it could be always tied in a pony tail or what not.
A bit different with guys with normally short hair My husband is almost bold up front and top but has coarse hair around his head. He started to look like insane clown. It also depends on what one does for a living. He can’t look hideous at work, his patients are already struggling with fear of pandemics. He can’t go around freaking them out. I don’t know how people cut their own hair. Hairdressers go to school to learn how to do it and it’s such a hard job. I’d not even know how to start. But I know how to shave mans head now! My husband looks cute and tidy now!!! |

I started growing mine out a yr and a half ago so I'm fine. But it's driving mum mad. She gets hers cut often. She started wearing a headband to keep it outa her face.

I just got a text from my hair dresser asking if I am ok and saying that she is ok. I told her she is the person I miss the most because I look hideous without her. Lol

Actually i first cut mine a month or so ago! Before all this started. I just got tired of spending so much money and they always cut it too short.
Ive been watching a LOT of youtube videos about how to cut hair. One big problem is, haircuts are almost always shown on beautiful women, not fat old hags like me. WHAT "chin line"?! More like chin parabola |
