My concern is that the rest of the world gets back to normal and I get left behind. As an unpaid caregiver who also has a job working from home has robbed me of my independence. I used to be able to walk out of the door in the morning and for 8 hours I could be me. Now I have lost that and I feel invisible.

This is an excellent question. It helps us feel less isolated, more a part of a community.
I think my biggest anxiety is returning to the isolated life I had before the shut-down. Now everyone is isolated, so we all know what it feels like. When the shut-down is over I will be delighted to be able to have freedom again...but will continue to feel very alone. I know that. Still, even gong to the grocery store without feeling tense, going to the clinic where my mental health providers are, and having surgery I need on my achilles tendon - all those things will be such a relief. __________________ |

I'm not working at the moment, because the company has temporarily shutdown. Will the company survive this? If they do, will they fire all the new apprentices (I'm one of them) they just hired?
What is going to happen to the economy? I'm presenting in school finishing up a trades program. Will I be able to complete the final semester which is supposed to take place this spring and summer? Not knowing what is going to happen has been torture at times. I really feel for all those who have been laid off and/or lost their job or are dealing with that possibility. __________________ Dx: Didgee Disorder |

I stopped therapy temporarily as I have explained elsewhere on this forum. Now I have to explain my weight loss to my therapist and exactly how I lost it. I could always lie though.

I'm not sure but this causes some anxiety. I don't want another break because I might forget to wash my hands , social distancing etc.

In regards to the Op question, No question when asked is ever foolish when it related directly or indirectly to our thinking and our thoughts. Without such questions evolution would ground to a halt.
As for my own feelings on the matter, my main anxiety is still dealing with people in person. __________________ A daily dose of positive in a world going cuckoo Humour helps... |

My biggest covid related anxiety that isn't directly related to the virus is the power dynamics that seem to become much clearer as a result of actions taken to combat the virus. It seems like there exists a hierarchy which I don't want to acknowledge but keeps glaring back at me. In terms of who stays safe, who has masks, who gets tests, what is prioritized over what, etc.
I live in the United States and COVID-19 may be what makes me leave it. |

That I'll have health issues that should have been addressed earlier by a personal touch from the doctor.
Right now I have teeth concerns that I'm worried about, for example. But I don;t want to get out to the dentist, and don't think he's even seeing patients. |

This is really embarrassing, but I have not been self-aware about passing gas in public. I guess I've been indoors so much I forgot my manners/other people. No one's said anything but I just think "oh my gosh, I can't believe I did that in public!" *blushes*

That they can't stimulate the economic downturn away. We might be in another Great Depression. During that depression, it was not just one big downturn. There were many. The government tried many things (this is why we have social security and unemployment plus there were many public works projects) but excess and debt takes time to work off. I worry about people who do not have savings and jobs. It could change our political system in ways we don't anticipate.

Good question to ask.
I think my worry is the frustration that is building up as people are not used to living in these types of conditions. I would like to travel and see my parents as I do every summer as they might need my assistance. I think this is putting a bit of stress on the family but I have to say thank heavens they are doing well. Also my business is waiting to start but as you know the covid is holding all of us back from normalcy. I think good things will come we just need to be patient. ________________________________________________________ My Blog: |

That I might never actually see my therapist again. It’s always going to be through a screen.

For me it's my anxiety ( though I had been doing so well for years ) I feel it's gotten worse since pandemic ...I had an anxiety attack at a store last week a friend had to take me home ...
It's like every day that goes by I get more and more terrified going out ( not just because of virus ) ... On a positive note I'm Grateful for PC it helps me to keep conennected to the world and with people who understand. Thank You and Stay Safe everyone |

I'll be so used to social isolation that it will feel like stepping out into a whole new world once this is finally over one way or another.
