I think I'm done with my Nictotine Replacement Therapy. I am 2 weeks ahead of my goal. I just don't crave the nicotine anymore. I have gone 48 hours with out a patch. I have plenty of gum so if I do get a strange craving I'll just try the gum. But I think I am done with the patches. It's been about 6 weeks since I last vaped. And my oxygen saturation when I went to my doctor today improved by 5 points.

I haven't been doing well without the nicotine. I've been sleeping too much or getting very anxious/depressed. So today I decided I would go back on the patch/gum for a couple more weeks. Today was really hard. I was seriously thinking about buying another e-Cig. I don't want to mess up all my progress.

Continuing with the patch has really helped. I'm working on week 7 of my vape free effort. I found some "Step 3" patches. So I will step down today. That's movement in the right direction and yet still being able to function. This quit stuff is too hard. I will remember this moment every time I think of starting up again.

Thanks! This week will make 8 weeks of being vape free. I'm still on the patch. This past week has been difficult because of stress. I've had a lot of cravings. I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I just need to find a healthy alternative.

Good on you @Deilla. Grats on your 8 weeks!! The number 8 is apparently a special number in some schools of thought, as well.

I wonder if fruit could be an healthy alternative, Deilla? It's good in a number of ways and comes in many different flavors, too, like vape.

Thanks! Fruit is a good idea. I like apples and grapes. Strawberries too. I need to get some more fruit on my next shop.

Awesome. Yeah, I need to get into some fruit as well. I haven't eaten any in a while. But I eat veggies and certain ones can give you the same vitamins etc., as fruit, going by what I know - including vitamin C. I might get stuck into some banana's this week, though.

I did a quick shop and forgot my fruit. I have been using a smokeless, chewable tipped cigarette. You puff on it and just get oxygen. It gives you the feel of a cigarette and the hand/mouth action associated with smoking. It's pretty helpful. I've been getting by. I'm also still on Step 2 of the patch. I've been too stressed to step down. I have an appointment today. So maybe after my appointment, I will try to step down.

I failed completely. I made up my mind to vape occasionally. I won't vape indoors, only outside. I know it's bad for my health, but I'm so stressed right now. Maybe I should drink instead. I hate to ruin 2 months of effort. But my cravings are just getting worse and worse.

I just read that I could go for 4 more weeks on NRT.

Well it's been a month since I last checked in and now I'm vape free once more. I'm so glad. I quit today. I threw everything away. I have plenty of patches and lots of gum. I'm getting a coach to help me too. I really want to do this. I am so sick of vaping. Last time I quit cause I was scared into it. Not because I wanted to. But now I miss how healthy I was when I wasn't vaping. So back at it again. Wish me luck! Thanks

I think this smokeless aid is what made my cravings worse. The action just made me really want to vape. I will not use that ever again. It just wasn't for me.
