I FB but I am very very wary. My friends list is short. I can think of only two individuals on it I have not met personally in real life.
FB is what you make of it. I just live it carefully. Trust your gut. Remember you are the one with the power though to pick and choose those you interact with and at what level. My recommendation? Stick to your guns. Don't give out personal information to these people. Keep communication to the matter and topic at hand. |

I just got an ad on Facebook for something I saw in the grocery store. I hate it when it does that. When it tracks me like that. It makes me want to give up on the internet altogether. But I usually just use Facebook to keep in touch with family. I have some non family members on there too. I never accept a friend request from anyone I haven’t had a decent conversation with. My profile is very very private. I have a ton of people blocked. Only friends of friends can send me requests. I don’t post on any public pages. Or community groups either since I know jerks from elementary school who are on there who may or may not have changed. I rarely post anymore and since the virus I haven’t been on much at all. It’s been too scary.
